Mobil 1 10W-30 Full synthetic
5w-30

I've heard transmission oil is better than motor oil, because it won't hold water.
Is this true?
What's the best line to put on the rubber seal of ammo cans?
Moly Engine Grease master race.
Hoppes No.9 amiright?
Ive never understood all this autism over gun oils. Ive tried them all to see if there was any noticable differences, and they all seem to lubricare equally well. I just use ballistol because its non toxic and wont ruin any finishes so i can be pretty careless when using it. If my bore is especially dirty then eds red cleans it up better than ballistol

whatever spare motor oil i have on hand

Can you really use 5w-30 well with firearms?
I'd rather just buy it for my car and my rifle instead of getting different ones.

If you like using an oil that wears steel abnormally for motor oil

I like Slip 2000 for my lube.

This. Slip 2000 EWL is cheap enough, non-toxic, and has a proven track record. I use it and Lucas Marine grease (~$7 for a huge tube) for all my guns.
