They're impossible to find these days and everyone always wants $150+ for them. I managed to find one after like a year of casual searching for $150 even but damn, at that price you may as well get a Mav88.

I have a single shot Baikal MP-18 and Rossi Pomba 12 gauge.
I love the Baikal, it's probably my favorite out of all the guns I've owned.
The Rossi is a turd though, the only nice thing I can think about it is that it can shoot.

Three years ago I was on a trip from Ohio to Louisiana.
I stopped at literally every pawn shop that had an FFL I saw, totaling about 50 or so in all.
I found ONE single shot 12ga for sale. ONE. They were asking like $175 for it.
This is all personal anecdote, but among those looking for them I've heard the same thing as people caught on to how good of a survival shotgun they could be for cheapsies after David Canterbury in particular showcased them.

Sounds nice until you realize that you can get a Maverick 88 with 20" barrel, interchangeable chokes, significantly less felt recoil, sight options, stock options, and 6+1 capacity for about $200.
It would only weight like 2 lbs more and break down to about the same size too.
I've been meaning to buy a couple single shot rifles for hunting, but people think they're made of fucking gold.
I get it, Sears doesn't sell guns anymore, but god damn.

$150-$200 probably, they look pretty with the wood stock and engravings but they're not really rare or collectable.
Baikals aren't allowed to be imported right now because of sanctions though so maybe it will go for more.

My first gun (that I bought not inheritance) was a sawn off Columbia Sidewinder 12 gauge that I got for pocket change out of my local gun store's "Bargain Bin".
I then proceeded to buy my girlfriend a New England 410, (because the columbia is unpleasant to shoot) and now i'm collecting single shot guns because I keep finding fixer-uppers for >$50 spare parts included.
