Does this look decent? Any problems? I posted in /arg/ but apparently /arg/ is only for posting pictures of your AR 15 at different angles.
>>
It's alright. The circlejerk will frown on Anderson but for a cheap first build it's perfectly fine
>>
>>29952956
i would get a different upper reciever. i think the bcm stock is ugly but if you like it get it. bcm is good stuff
>>
looks good to me, i personally don't like the BCM stock but only because it doesn't allow for my sling setup.
>>
>>29953125
Where would you suggest I get the upper from?

I like the color of the BCM stock.
>>
I've never built on Anderson receivers, although I own a few lowers, but I doubt you'll have any issues. BCM is a quality company with quality products, so you can't go wrong there. Midwest handguards are also quality from what I've heard. Don't listen to anyone who might respond saying "meme part/company" this or that. You'll need a set of iron sights or an optic but, other than that, your list looks good and should be a damn fine first AR. Remember to budget for ammo, mags, and optic.

>>29953144
pretty much anywhere else that is a recognizable brand. i have seen some problems with anderson uppers being outta spec
>>
>>29953150
Neato. I'm looking at magpul flip downs for iron sights and I'm wondering if there is someway I can put both a reflex and a scope on at the same time?
>>
>>29952956
If you want a cheap no-name freefloat, why not this?
http://monstrumtactical.com/collections/free-float-quad-rail-handguards-ar-15/products/ar-15-keymod-rail-handguard-15-inch?variant=15621298435
I'm looking at it myself.
>>
>>29953191
yes, you can get an offset mount

>>29953203
MI is not no name tbhwy
>>
>>29953203
I'm leaning more towards M-LOK over KeyMod. It seems like M-LOK is going to win out.

>>29953169
What are some recognizable brands? I just picked up on BCM from some other thread.
>>
>>29953224
aero can be had around that price. most others will be $100-125 range
>>
>>29953169
I didn't realize that when I said he shouldn't have any issues, but I haven't looked in to them much.

>>29953144
Rainier Arms, Aero Precision, Spike's Tactical, Mega Arms are all good, though I believe Rainier uses Mega receivers and adds their own roll mark. Uppers without forward assist will be cheaper, but that's a decision you'll need to make.

I've heard good things about this Mueller dot.

http://muelleroptics.com/mqs12233mb

Does it seem alright?

I'm also not sure where to start looking for a scope in the 6X-12X range.

I'll look into AP
>>
>>29953290
I've never heard of Mueller, but also don't have any experience with that type of sight. Vortex Strike Eagle is a good 1-6x optic for an AR, and not too expensive. With optics you really do get what you pay for, but Primary Arms has their own line that seem to be dependable for a budget choice.
>>
So a Spikes like this would be pretty good?

http://www.primaryarms.com/sft50m4/p/sft50m4/
>>
>>29953386
yes
>>
Okie dokes thanks guys! I'll be sure to flood /arg/ once I get it ordered, shipped, and built.
>>
>>29953466
No problem. I built my first AR with input of fellow /k/ommandos and love it like I could never love a child.

Strike eagle is great! You can pick one up for around $280 with a lifetime warranty. Eye relief is finicky at 6x, but is awesome at 1x. Also illuminated and has a bdc reticle.
