Whats /k/'s opinions on them?

They're pretty nice. Wear quickly though, due to the sheep skin leather. I get to DX them for free though.

The fingers aren't always long enough and the wrist elastic is rather ineffective.

Ok I had read this comment. Closed my browser. Was starting a game up and then it hit me what you did there. 8/10, Sensible chuckle.

I had a pair I used for driving gloves, cause my heat resistant gray (they felt like suede leather with nylon/lycra) got stolen. They were fine for that, also picking up and turning burning logs in a fire, but they're too thin to handle burning hot metal unless it's tinfoil on potatoes for a couple seconds.

Lost one last fall replacing my alternator, not sure where it vanished to.

Fine, but there are better, worth the 15-20$ or whatever I paid for them for the 2 months of solid use I got out of them.

Still wish I could get those gray gloves again, they weren't as.tight, but the wrist had velcro, and they doubled as oven mits.

They're good cheap gloves. They'll last longer than Mechanix will. Fingers are too short though.

At the very worst, they're a good backup to have

I was looking for gloves/anything that would cover up my pasty wrists. The only things I figured out were nomex length gloves, or face paint on the wrists with mechanix gloves.

How do the tier 1 operators cover up their wrists when going full camo?

They're good for building walls.

>last longer than mechanix

Obviously you don't have experience with one of these pairs of gloves.

Because mechanix gloves last 5 times longer than the nomex gloves. Any combat arms dude on active duty can confirm that a pair of the nomex ones will be trash after a month of hard use.
