Only certain guns are allowed for competitions in official gun clubs in Switzerland.

For handguns it's basically boiled down to SIG P210/220, Glock 19/17, Sphinx 3000 and a couple others.

Yeah, but paying some $6-700/barrel is....not so nice. Used, sure, $2-350, but its used.

Had I Really known how expensive this system is I may have gone another route for a battle rifle. There is a Co. that makes an adapter/retrofit a normal AR10/SR25 barrel but I've snapped a barrel release bolt once already.

M1A is my favorite long gun but as I can neither conceal it nor carry it on a motorcycle, depending on the situation it's more likely to stay at home.

Also, as an aside, AK-9 handguards are hard as fuck to find. Expensive too. I think I got mine on russiansurplus.net

Form factor is awesome BUT it has recently been giving me issues, flickering, turning off randomly even with fresh battery. Shipped to surefire, we'll see what happens.

Really too bad, I hope they fix it. I've never had a problem with my X300 or any other surefire light before.

if you're referring to them as your primary and secondary I think it's fair to infer that these are the guns you'd grab for a happening. in that case, yeah, you need to offset the lack modern advantages in your gun by being really fucking good with it
>>
>>29879304

Never heard that but MWSs are routinely over-gassed, though, I think their piston model has one...but that doesn't help much, eh?

I kinda just accepted that I CAN run a can but it wont be as enjoyable for the shooter, also don't want to cycle so hard it hampers reliability.

the trade in ones can be a pretty good deal.
the finish on mine is kind of sad but mechanically it's excellent.
less cylinder play and more generous timing than even a NIB S&W. better trigger pull too.
it's very accurate but the fixed sights are very minimalist.
>>
>>29879745
I heard somewhere that you can adjust the SA and DA trigger pull independently of each other. Probably not true, just curious if any owners have tried. May not be possible with a GIGN trade in.

the hammer mainspring and trigger return springs are both leaf springs under screw tension.
tighten or loosen the screws to increase or decrease tension.
the heavier both are, the heavier the trigger pull is. at the same time you want the mainspring to be heavy enough you never have light primer strikes. ideal trigger return weight is more subjective to the shooter but you generally want it to be positive.

a S&W has an adjustable tension flat mainspring but a coil return spring. you can lighten the mainspring but too much will compromise reliability.
you can also replace the trigger return spring with a lighter one from Wolff to lighten the pull further, but that's less user friendly than just turning a tension screw.

ruger revolvers use coil springs for both the hammer and trigger return

basically finding your ideal trigger pull will require a bit of trial and error, tightening the mainspring a little if you have any light primer strikes and adjusting the trigger return however you like.
that all affects the DA trigger pull.
SA trigger pull is more a product of sear geometry than spring weights, so whoever told you the SA trigger was adjustable probably misunderstood.
SA trigger weight on both of mine are a bit heavier than my Smiths and Colts, but very very short. the overtravel stops are adjustable, but mine were both perfect when I got them, so I've not touched them. maybe that's what he meant by adjusting the SA trigger.
