Just pattern it after a WW1 British officer's getup like everyone else does.
Even the fvcking Germans did it; NSDAP uniforms were obviously inspired by Bongistani service dress, as was the black SS outfit.

Actually the Danish Royal Guard had red coats since it was formed in 1658 and wore bear skin hats since 1805. The brits began to wear bears in 1815 and their coats were red from the middle of the 17th century about the same time as the Danish. If anything the brits copied the danes. But most likely it was just a thing of fashion, as most european armies copied eachother
