Is it an NFA regulation that inexpensive guns have to look like a hammered asshole?

I'm in California so anything under $600 is inexpensive. That's what I paid for my LCP anyways.
Seriously though I like the way my Phoenix HP22A looks.
>>29829279
Yes, its mandated so crime guns are readily identifiable
>>29829279
usually cheap guns look like shit because they have to compensate for using shitty materials.
>>29829297
>LCP
>$600
I'm going to assume it's legal to load up my trunk with $300 LCPs and move them across state lines for great profit
>>29829322
but dont sell more than 2 a year or you will be v&
>>29829322
To be fair a NIB gen 2 LCP could be had for as little as $500 if you really haggle, but I was inpatient as my normal .380 had just broke and my CCW permit was due for renewal.

2 a year? God California sucks
I'm from Alabama. I've bought three guns in the past four weeks
>>29829391
NIB? In California?
>>29829369
>as little as $500
I got my Ruger P95 for $200 off jewbook
It even took him like a day and a half to sell it
>>29829405
Hell no, in Alabama
It was used but like new
Deleted because I meant P95
>>29829405
was meant for
>>29829410
from the future

Boo hoo. Cheap shoes don't last, cheap electronics break easily, cheap cars perform poorly, and cheap guns look ugly.
Don't like it, save up like a big boy and don't buy redguard specials.
>>29829420
Yeah I've heard of people in the free states getting new LCPs for right around $200 these days. Alas, California is not a free state, and the LCP is not on the "Approved Safe Handgun Roster". The only ways to get one are PTP sales from either an LEO or someone who had the gun from back when SSEs were legal.

You have no idea how nice it is.
My last score was a 7.5" Redhawk for $550
>>29829509
Nice. Jelly is an understatement.

>Is it an NFA regulation that inexpensive guns have to look like a hammered asshole?
Well, turkshit aside,
>make absolute bottom dollar handgun
>cast alloy or polymer frame
>cast slide with steel inserts
>simple barrel with minimal machining.
>Short recoil is right out, then.
>Barrel thus either simply pressed into a trunnion, or given a single lug that fits into a recess in the frame
>simple blowback in 9mm or .45 requires a slide roughly the size, shape, and heft of a brick.
And thus, the Hi Point was born.

>Well, turkshit aside,
I own two turkshit guns, one I compete with, one I CC.
Both were dirt cheap and run like champs.look sexy too.

you're actually closer than you may think to being right about that
