I have a few midway soft shells, I like them.
So, I just got pic related as a gift from a cousin several months ago. I never really buy tacticool clothing and such, but this thing is comfy as fuk. Only problem is, I kinda feel like a mall ninja wearing it. Am I just overthinking it, /k/ommandos?

I don't know dude, I've been wearing it for a month maybe, and I really like where the pockets are. My phone perfectly fits the inside compartment that is dedicated for such a device, and I can hook my keychain on a loop inside the pocket. Even when I pack my usual EDC, it all sits so nicely that I don't even feel it. I'm not a fan of velcro patches and all that tho.
I'm looking to get an OD M65 Jacket, but I'm having trouble deciding which manufacturer to buy from. There's Alpha Industries, Brandit, Rothco, Tru-Spec, etc. Who makes the good shit?

I actually really like mine
It may be kind of shitty build quality, like the seams have extra cloth and shit all over them, but its waterproof enough to go duck hunting in December and be bone dry and warm.
Also, those ass-load of pockets come in handy duck hunting too.
The double zipper is nice because I was able to keep wearing it while I was belaying during a recent rock climbing trip.

I absolutely don't mind the pockets and the shitload of zippers everywhere. The build quality is alright, not too good, not too bad. The jacket is comfy as fuck and that's all that matters to me. I only wish I got one that was gray and not tan.

I'm 6' 2" and my wingspan exceeds my height. I've tried to buy lots of Euro surplus jackets and they all were 5 or more inches too short in the arms.
