Pits bowie is actually the s&w Texas hold em bowie with custom gaurd and grip, Ive got of one that I plan on modding to a replica soon
If you don't mind a more modern interpretation the Becker bk9 is ones of the better utility Bowie's you can find and the Ontario sp10 is great for a little less money and you can strip the coating and replace the handle for a more traditional look
If you aren't hung up on the made in America thing the condor moonshiner is nice

For what they are, they have what they call a cable tang, which means half the tang is wire cable
