AUSTRALIA THREAD

PORT ARTHUR 20TH SHITSTORM EDITION

If you haven't yet:
>Go join Australian National Firearms Lobby on Facebook
>Go give Firearms Owners United a like

What guns have you bought - where are you shooting this weekend - how are we going to be fucked by the meeting tomorrow

Also: There is legitimately a conspiracy between all the media outlets in Australia, Walter Mikac, GCA Australia and other organisations.
It all makes sense now

Nofuns from Brisbane, looking at doing my safety course this weekend.

I mean of course the media outlets, politicians and general uneducated unwashed masses read from the same bullshit anti textbook, but do you mean anything specific when you say "legitimate conspiracy"?
>>
>>29754212
Got my licence and pta coming back soon. Wanna get the high powered semiauto death machine 12g lever action
>>
Can you please stop them from banning all guns until I get around to buying a house in like 5-10 years thank you :3
>>
>>29754291
Walter Mikac, chairman of the Alannah-Madeline foundation. Massive anti-gunner. Alannah and Madeline got rekt in PA, so he hates licenced shooters.

Included in the friends of the foundation are the heads of every media group in the country.

Walter wants something published, he asks the companies, boom you've got headlines everywhere you look.

That's why there's literally a coordinated attack by way of articles on command.

we don't need funds. i personally would like one of those new STG 44 in either 300 black out or 223.
>>
>>29754491
I'd love to, but unfortunately getting caught with one means never owning one again.
I tempted the idea of having some AR parts sent over in other shit but it's just not worth it
>>
>>29754588
I've toyed with the idea of making a "statement against gun violence" art piece made of AR lower receivers and trying to bring it to Australia to sell. For money and/or kekes
>>
>>29754537
Funs, not funds.

I'm going to start putting my name in the Green Card Lottery. Wonder if I can get sponsored in to America through a job, I'm an electrician over here. I know its a cop out to just abandon ship but I really feel helpless in this country. As great as it could be people fundamentally lack ticker. So many great people here but we're fucked over by the tyranny of the majority.

Atleast some parts of America, particularly the south, still seem to hold the ideals of personal freedom dear to their hearts. I could get behind that in a big way.
>>
>>29754592
You'd get totally fucked. Nothing like that can happen. I hate everything
>>
>>29754592
That will not happen.
I tried to do a legitimate art piece and inquired customs about importing inanimate pieces of wood.
No response for weeks, until, two WAPOL officers show up on my door step and start asking to search my property.
I told them to get fucked (as kindly as one can in this situation), as I didn't have a license at the time and they had no right to search me.
Called and logged it with my lawyer afterwards.

Just imagine how many dogs they'd kill if you shipped in inanimate pieces of aluminium?
>>
How much should I pay for a Remi 7600? I also want to get a collapsing stock and top rail, as well as a couple of spare mags.
Does anyone have one? I need to keep overall length over 75cm but it looks like all the good stock kits are side folders and I'm wary that it will make it too short.
>>
>>29754717
$3.50
>>
>>29754717
There's only a couple of sidefolding stocks I'm aware of, if there's more I'd like to know. You can always just get a fixed collapsible if you're worried.
I'm not sure exactly how short they are with the stock folded, they'd have to be fairly short. I think they're about 10-15cm over the 75cm mark normally.

Either way it shouldn't matter as many people have fitted em before and I have never hear of anyone being called up on it, they may even measure the length only with the stock unfolded as that's the way it is still meant to be used.

I have a 7615 and it's fine. Can't imagine the 7600 being much different. Probably pay no more than $1500 for it, closer to $1000 if possible.
>>
>>29754848
Thanks, That's pretty helpful. Cleaver Firearms up in QLD have a few variations, They also have a magpul adaptor that I could put a CTR on, but it would probably end up costing the same amount.
Is it worth getting used? I saw one on usedguns for about 1100 for a 20" barrel.
>>
>>29754644
I've been trying, america only wants 3rd worlders or high level uni grads.
>>
>>29754854
I bought mine new. People will absolutely thrash these guns, basically if it's the short "police" version, you can be someone has gone to town with it. That doesn't necessarily mean their in bad condition, just that people will underestimate just how many rounds have been put through a used one. That being said the guns are built like brick shithouses (well most of them) and can take a beating.

Definitely inspect if first if you can. One of the ways you can tell how many rounds have been through it or how much use it's done is the condition of the action bar arms, these will slowly wear with use. Also the crown of the rifle, I've never seen someone do it but supposedly it's quite easy to damage the crown of a 7600 buy cleaning it with a jointed rod from the muzzle.

$1100 is probably alright, I'd get a 16.5" barrel but that's me, some people prefer the longer barrels. As long as the thing works and has been relatively looked after then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. You can sometimes find them for $1250 new though, I'd rather pay the bit extra for a new one.
>>
I'm going to a shooting range where they bolt the guns to the tables with wires and shit for my birthday next month.

Fun...
>>
>>29754897
Dude that fucking sucks. My range you just give them your ID and they hand you a .22 on the spot.
>>29754893
The rifle itself is "near new" and the barrel is a replacement, so it seems alright. I'll probably get a loan for it though so I won't be buying it just yet.
>>
>>29754893
2400 for this thing, I'm embarrassed to say that I'm tempted.
>>
>>29754491
Same here. We need to liberate our brothers in the anglosphere from the socialist hordes.
>>
>>29754897
Yeah, too many fuc/k/tards would go to unrestrained pistol ranges, sign the try-out permit, load up and paint their brains on the roof. Couple in WA, same in SA, maybe QLD, then that psychobitch is Sydney went to St.Marys and managed to steal a pistol go home and shoot her dad.... so, yeah, now they chain them to the bench so you can't 180 it, saves money on mops and repainting.
.
>Still, go have fun, then start applying for your CatH
>>
>>29754963
That's horse shit, If someone want's to kill themselves they're gonna do it. VICs pistol range doesn't have that shit going on.
>>
el prez here. Batten down the hatches, tomorrow is going to be a shitstorm.
>>
>>29755051
Yeahnah, it is shit, but this way the fuckwits dont make a splatmark at the Range, or give the Shitbridge/anti-s any dumb excuses to try shutting more fun down.
Agree Vic is still ok, so just hope some depressives don't fuck it up.
The retards can go off and top themselves elsewhere.
>>
>>29755119
Yeah I guess. I do recall someone blaming their sister's suicide on a gun range.
If I was gonna kill myself I'd use the fucking train like a normal aussie.

Found a shitty cheap tasco rifle scope recently, the scope braces are rusted and the lens coating is a lil fucked as well as dirty. Best way to clean this sucka up to use on a 22? Looking thru it, it still looks good.

I'm planning to buy some vinegar to soak the scope braces in to get the rust off, should i just strip the paint on them completely?
