How good are Aero Precision LR308 upper receivers? Looking at getting a stripped one for a build.

The quality of the small parts on their stuff isnt always so good. If you want good accuracy, its best to buy receivers as a mated set.
308 ARs arent so plug and play

Upper is fine, barrel nut is garbage. Rather than machining it properly they give your some washers that are supposed to make it fit properly, but I was not able to at all. Ended up nigger rigging the barrel nut with some aluminum for now. Decided to not dick with it further and order a Midwest industries handguard. The gas rings swelled on the bolt on my first outing causing a malfunction, but that was the only time I saw it.

Holy he'll. That is horrendous.
I'm going for accuracy with this build, so that definitely will not do for that.
What other stripped uppers are out there that will work with a DPMS lower?

Forgot to mention I am not using an Aero barrel, but a Criterion, so good luck.

You either need to buy the whole gun or be choosy and be ready to have to deal with some stupid shit, I anticipated problems with building one so I am not stressing it. You really just need to do thorough research clicking around online. Definitely not fun like an AR15 build.
Are the PA10 stripped uppers from PSA any good?
My boss is building one now, from what he's said they're pretty great and he's a gunsmith.

Hmm. I have a matched aero and also an aero barrel. I was about to order an aero rail but would I avoid the barrel nut issues if I get something else like noveske? Definitely dont want to drop this much shekels and have to nigger rig anything

Excellent so far, about 1000 rounds through mine and still haven't come across any signs of problems. Their 1MOA accuracy guarantee holds true too, as mine holds 0.80" with Federal gold medal match, which is quite impressive compared to anything else I've shot.

I would stay away from any of the PSA .308 stuff for now. From what I hear all of it is hit or miss. You may get an accurate barrel, but the quality control is so bad that you might have a barely functioning rifle.due to defects on parts and their own armorer's fuckups.
