As soon as I saw the older than 50 category I noped out. Sorry gramps, survey says this thread blows. Op goofed it.

All of them but the age, being married, having children, and having college education.

23, no kids, no significant other (thankfully) and only a high-school diploma.

I don't have a degree yet but I'll be starting college
>>
>>29745889
>has some college 27%
>has a college degree 28%
so 55% of gun owners are college educated. that means there are more people who have attended college who own guns than those who are afraid of inanimate objects. The doublethink is real.
>56% of gun owners live in the north
dat doublethink
>49% of gun owners are democrat
kek

that part about gun owners being 80% white is bullshit. the only blacks and hispanics I know that don't have a gun are felons. And even then, most of the felons have guns.

oh good god you're statistically illiterate

55% of gun owners are college educated. 55% of college educated people do not necessarily own guns.

Want to know what made me rage uncontrollably?

The college part. It breaks up the college into "has degree" and "some college", and tries to make them seem super low. "Some College" covers vocational/trade school certifications gained through a college. I have to put "some college" down on all my applications because I have a license and a certification. The Certification amounted to nearly 3 years of college. So yes, I'm on of those "uneducated gun owners" who didn't get a regular degree.

Then the other thing. The other rage inducing thing there is that it cuts out military members who are pro-gun and have education/training.

Either way, you add it up and over 50% of gun owners have some form of higher education. When you compare that to the most anti-gun demographics in our society, it's about even with them, or way, way, way more.

Issues there include plenty of non-violent/non-dangerous/accidental felonies which happen all of the time.

As for being dangerous, it's up to who decides what dangerous is.a guy with multiple assault charges is dangerous sure. But there are people that think guns, being inanimate objects, are dangerous.

I'm >>29747055

I know it's probably just a joke, but. I think it's stupid. You can't just fence off a chunk of land and expect it to work. This is literally what we say about gun control. I'm not in favor of illegals, and very much resent a lot of them since it took me a lot of work to naturalize, and didn't have anything while they got a bunch of support and had rights and privileges I didn't have despite growing up and living in the states all my life. But a wall won't work, and even deporting them will only treat the symptoms.

It's a real shitty situation. We'd need to completely legalize and decriminalize weed and maybe some other drugs, and then invade Mexico, overthrow the government and set up a a new temporary government for a few generations. But we all know how that works out in the end.
>>
>>29746100
>biological man
The molecular basis of sex characteristics is not as simple as "XX or XY." Remember that genes must be "expressed" through protein synthesis in transcription and acetylation/methylation changes the receptiveness of the DNA to this process (this is why you can't grow a clone of yourself from a cheek cell, for instance, why skeletal muscle doesnt shit out sex hormones and why stem cells are so highly prized.) Beyond that, endocrinology is a very complex and fickle mistress. Gynecomastia, irritability, moodiness and deficits in impulse regulation in men taking steroids for bodybuilding, as well as the (though inadequate) evidence for non-dose dependent estrogenic effects of BPA (effects observed at lower doses than ones with no observed effects) show that small, seemingly insignificant environmental factors and the action of unrelated genes can potentially have a large impact.

So gender essentialism doesn't really bear out, even though the SJW bleats about "social constructs" stay as asinine as ever. I try not to form views on whether it's "right" or "wrong," but the best evidence right now shows hormone replacement and reassignment surgery in general to be a more effective treatment than counseling to accept birth sex, though the latter may be more effective in certain people. Psychology isn't what you'd call a hard science, like ballistics

It's simple "leading"
If they asked "Do you support NICS checks on private sales?" The answer would be overwhelmingly NO

So they ask "Do you support closing a loophole?" Without explaining what that would entail.

It's a war of words with antigunners.

Yeah most of that applies. I'm partially in favor of background checks for private sales (they already do them at gun shows). Even though it's unenforceable I also think that we're going about it the wrong way. I think most gun owners are law-abiding people who would relish the opportunity to run a background check on the person buying a gun from them if it was something that was inexpensive and easy to do and didn't require a visit to an FFL.

Woman in Australia had her head caved in by her bikie ex boyfriend, despite having a restraining order against him. Not having the right to self defence is a bitch. Had she had a gun, she could have defended herself, but without one you're at the mercy of thugs with heavy pieces of steel.

You only want felons voting rights restored because they generally vote leftist/socialist.

The same vicious cycle behind blacks voting dem for ever more porkbarrelling, leading to ever increasing welfare dependency, fatherlessness and violence. (Why do blacks account for the majority of felons again?)

imo you shouldn't get a vote unless you actually bring something to the table. If you've got no stake in society then all these absurd policies that basically involve pillaging from productive people sound fine. Might be an incentive to get a fucking job too. Otherwise we'll end up with more people consuming government spending than contributing to it. A pyramid with welfare consumers accounting for most of the population and a small tip of working folks actually making stuff happen.

I think that you've got it backwards.

Poor people don't vote. This is why they get fucked over, and why they stay poor.

>upper class communities have the exact same drug consumption as poor communities, but narcotics prosecutions against poor communities are dramatically more common
>Fortune 500 companies and billionaires use offshore banking to dodge taxes and pay lobbyists to let them do it, while poor people get what little income they have raped by sales tax
>nothing is done to stop outsourcing and deindustrialization, because rich people feel the benefits of corporate profits and cheap labor, but don't feel the drawbacks of wage stagnation and collapsing communities

Also, I told my therapist that I would not harm myself or others, much less with a firearm. I told him that I didn't want to be another statistic used against gun ownership.
