I'm a Ruger fan, but their striker pistols are just...meh. Unlike most here I wouldn't recommend a Glock as a first pistol either though. You should get something hammer-fired imo. Or a Kahr.

I had one as my first firearm. It was really comfy to shoot but I could never get those sights lined up properly.

Try it out. I have an SR9C that I really like. Works well and is really comfortable to use. My gf picked out a 9e as her first gun. She loves it.

Great gun, I CC an sr9c every day wherever I can. Shoots accurately, have had no issues yet, ergos are better than glocks (lol is this actually something I have to say?), price is on point especially online.
Only things I can say are cons are the shitty words all over the slide, and that I can't get any extendos to be a cool guy.
I tried one at the range. Loved the trigger compared to my west German p228

It's a quality firearm, it's built well. It's equal in reliability to an M&P, but below a Glock. It's very underrated.
But, I personally think it's ugly. I also think the P89/90/95 Rugers were also ugly. Then again, I think Glocks and Steyrs are pretty.
