Why are half the none vendors old fat dudes?

>>29724016
Yeah we hate Seattle too
>>
>>29724016
I'm flying out there to look for apartments in an hour.
>>
>>29724088
no seattle is actually pretty cool, its equivalent to vancouver up north and the setting for both is spectacular. Some of the people are degenerate, but that goes for every city. It helps that you can go 30min out from seattle and shoot into the woods.
>>
>>29724096

Do you have job lined up?

If so where?

Seattle down town rents are super inflated

but if you can commute farther down the light rail they are much more reasonable

Or great over in the renton highlands. (without the dindus)
>>
>>29724239
I'll be telecommuting to my current job. Looking in Bremerton and Port Orchard.
>>
anyone interested in a 425/206 meetup out in sultan?

>Bremerton and Port Orchard.

Have great access to oyplmic national forest

But also is within the blast range of even the smallest target only military bases nukes.

Also ferries if made into a habit are fucking expensive.

Also lots of hippies and rich ferry commuters.
>>
>>29724307
im hoping we can get at least 5-10 guys to commit to mid-late next month

>>
>>29724562

>>
>>29724610
ok cool. there seems to be a decent number of us in this area and i dont want to drive 2+ hours for a meetup
>>
>>29724107
The city physically and the surround area are great. People are the same as in any big city. The problem is the lawmakers trying to be progressive as fuck without any reasoning behind it like that fucking ammo tax. All it did was force a bunch of local business owners to move and gave cabelas and other retail giants even more power since you have to drive out of the city to get shit anyway you may as well skip the ma and pa shop and just go to the commercial warehouse.
>>
>>29724286
I'm down if I don't have school or work which is about 80% of my life
>>
>>29725637
it will be on a Saturday or Sunday, does that work for you?
>>
>>29725652
Unfortunately that's the days I work because of school. I get done at 430 on Saturdays or 330 on Sunday's. I might be able to catch the end of the meet up. I've got a sports bike so I can probably make it there pretty fast from Seattle.

Very nice man ZX6Rs are fun bikes to ride and yeah they are fast. I ride 04 SV650s and I'm enjoying the hell out of it more so then all of the super sports I've ridden to be honest lol. I may pick up a CBR 600RR or a GSXR750 just for shits and giggles and ride my SV650 as a daily commuter.

Some jerks want to keep their spots obscure as a attempt to keep the idiots out. Their thinking is that the less people know about it, the less of a likelihood of trashers showing up to make a mess.
Of course we at /k would never leave a derelict car burning with half a load of tannerite in it. :}
In reality I have seen random bands of teenagers trash up parks, roads, signs, and even mailbox baseball these days.
I'm curious why it's called 410. Might be the county road number. ?
>>
>>29729830
Well i keep my long range spot secret because the washington game dept frowns on shooting there, but know its not illegal. So if people fuck up enough they will take the opportunity to close it off. They already made it inaccessable for unauthorized vehicles, because the salty fuckers hate people going out in the woods instead of their 100 yard range.
>>
Hey, any of you guys ever shoot at the pit just north of darrington right off of hwy 530? I fucking love that place. Theres always bottles and cans left to shoot up there, people often leave behind any pigeons they have left, and at most theres like 3 people there at a time.

WAfriends, can you clarify the state's stand-your-ground status for me?

If your life's in danger you can protect it. Also if you're found to be the victim in a self defense shooting wa state will pay all your legal fees. Only shoot when your life's actually in danger and hire a good lawyer and you won't even have to pay a dime. If you shot someone running away unless you can argue they had a gun and we're going to hurt other people or pointing the gun at you as they ran away you would get fucked if you shot the one running.

Port Angeles reporting in once again. Following thread for info on meetups.

I should really get a 2nd gun for range day. What to get first between these two? A .22 or .223 bolt gun, desu I will get both at some point.

Pic related, Lake Cresent in the foreground and the Strait of Juan de Fuca in distance.
>>
>>29736967

As in a .22 bolt gun or a .223 bolt gun? Because definitely a .223 in that case.
>>
>>29736999
Yeah both would be bolt guns. I really enjoy the feel of cycling a bolt and a semi auto - although maybe more practical - takes that fun away from me.

.223 huh, I was thinking a Ruger American or Savage Axis or 110

>>29736967

Also that's very nice. I was on the far side of that view not too long ago.

>>29737052

To be fair I'm not very familiar with bolt guns, but it seems to take away from the enjoyment of cycling the action that you're talking about if you hardly feel any recoil. Hence .223.
>>
>>29737104
The lack of recoil from a .22 coupled with the relatively low cost of .223 is what drew me to it anyway. Also I'm not much of a hunter but would be open to try it down the line. You can't hunt with .223 in WA but I'd like to get the feel of a hunting-style rifle without getting a higher power rifle yet. I know .308 and .30-06 gets spendy.

>>29737181

Move north. It's better. No saying any other direction isn't cool too. Snohomish and Skagit are where I find myself after growing up in Seattle. Queen Anne Hill wasn't always terrible
>>
>>29729745

If you don't mind a bunch of idiots shooting directly at a rock face and muzzle sweeping you while taking selfies with guns that's a great place to shoot.

I actually heard they're closing it (they have in the past) but I haven't read any official statement. I could understand why.

I've been looking for decent spots in the 360, particularly some longer distance spots, but I'm short on time and money to cruise around and I haven't had the chance to go up with friends because schedule conflicts.

You can use a firearm if anyone on your property is in the process of a felony.

Stealing your car? Shootem.

Stealing you 400 dollar tv? Misdemeanor, dont shoot then.
>>
im a noguns that wants to become a hasguns who is also too retarded to understand gun laws, how do buy a handgun? from my understanding i just go into a gunshop say i want a gun and they run a background check while i wait a week before i can go home with my gun
>>
>>29736094
been out there, guys were cool but are there any free ranges around?

Yup. Run a background check, and wait.

Make sure you feel the firearm first! Dont want to.buy something you will hate later!
>>
>>29738111

But burglary is a felony.

>>29738158

>>
>>29738173
Not in spokane that i know of.

I use state game land for my long range stuff.

I want to see if I can get a permit to make it an official long range spot, since it is bad hunting and pretty much rattle snake territory. Even the yuppie seattleites dont trek there with their gooey butt spandex.
>>
>>29738111
Burglary used to be broken down on price tags. Did that change? Its been a while. It used to be that theft under 500 was misdemeanor.

Theft with a weapon = armed robbery which is felony.

if someone is committing a felony you can stop them with bullets. now for your scenario, i am not sure if the fleeing felon rule applies to non leos so imo it would not be very smart to shoot them unless you still felt threatened

burglary and theft are different things. all the counts of burglary are felonies
>>
>>29738529

Yeah the main reason I was wondering about a second assailant is because I figured if you justifiably kill one but the other gets away, the jury will line up behind the dindu when he testifies that he and his homebody were attacked in cold blood.
>>
>>29738580
nah the rcw's define things very well. i dont know of any situations where someone had a good shoot and was charged with anything.

it will all depend on the situation and where you are if you should shoot the running guy. if im in my house for instance and he runs down a hallway looking for an escape route but my sisters room is there, ill shoot him. but if we are outside and hes running away i wont shoot him

>>
>>29738700
the rcw defines "violent felonies" i would go read them so you know at least the major crimes of when you can shoot.

if you really want to look you can read each count of the different laws such as theft in the third degree is a gross misdemeanor but theft 1 and 2 are felonies

This. Unless hippie cuckshamans suddenly develop feelings-based superpowers that alert them with a cold tingle in their anuses when somebody hands a gun to their friend, it's going nowhere.
>>
>>29739674
Honestly I'm more pissed about the Seattle gun and ammo tax. Caused every local gun store own to move shop. Not that there was many but it's still pretty fucked.
>>
>>29739678
In my own experience it's created an annoyance for private sales. Friend was going to buy a pistol from other friend. Instead of a simple cash and gun exchange it had to legally go through an FFL to run a background check.

I understand the concept but there has to be a better way. I don't know of one yet though. I guess that's why I'm not a legislator.
>>
>>29739690

Surely Seattle gun shops would have had awful mark-ups by now anyway, even without the tax.

>>29739706

Yeah it's still shit for private purchases.

>I understand the concept but there has to be a better way. I don't know of one yet though. I guess that's why I'm not a legislator.
Likewise.
>>
>>29739706
The law is in place to make liberals feel better and nothing else. It does little to stop criminals from buying guns since they didn't really use legal routes I. The first place
>>
>>29739755
Precision shooter wasn't bad. Most of the gun shops were in cheaper areas so it wasn't bad.
>>
>>29739690
yeah that shits retarded

>>29739706
there is no reason to regulate private sales. all it does is hurt the average joe, criminals are not going to transfer their guns via a ffl. now me and you are forced to spend money and time to go through a ffl. its ridiculous and helps literally no one
>>
>>29739870
Your average gun owner won't do private sales with redguards in the first place
>>
>>29739943
they need to make the ffl fee like $5 statewide. forcing us to transfer is stupid when all the lgs jew us with $50+ fees
>>
>>29738747
Concrete-sauk valley road. If youre going north on 530, you take a left across a one lane bridge, make another left onto a dirt road, and its the last turnout on the right before the dirt road heads up the hill.
They blocked the entrance from car traffic with rocks because people kept burning stolen cars up there, but its only about an 600 ft walk.

Its a short pit, max range is about 150-170 yards, but it's definitely my favorite spot
>>
>>29739978
There was this guy I was buying a g29 from and he'd only do transfers at west coast armory. Those fucking Jews charge $50. I got the pistol for cheap so it was worth it but I've now found a local ffl that does transfers for cheap

If you take 410 through Enumclaw towards Mt. Rainier and just keep following that until you get to Forest Service Road 70 take a left there and follow that road.

It comes to a fork a ways down the road then you have a choice go straight which leads up into the hills the best pit up there takes around 20min to get to from the fork but is around 100 yards and usually doesn't have many people at it, but the roads leading up there are pretty sketchy and have some pretty steep cliffs not to mention the forest service might still have it closed from this last winter I haven't checked.

The right path leads to some closer and smaller pits that would be more fit for 4-5 people, but the road that way was closed last time i was there a couple weeks ago. Good news though is that the biggest pit is right next to the fork and has a fairly large parking area to the left of the fork. Worst thing about the large pit though is that it's where all the normies shoot.

On average, how long does it take you guys to get a handgun without a CCW? I'm home on leave, but I don't want to risk having the wait be longer than I'm here.

Anyone know when the next gun show is? I'm tacoma area wanting to find some stuff for my ak and possibly a new fun

Fuck I work weekends too
>>
>>29740896

When I got mine I had to wait a week for it to come in and then another week to be able to pick it up.

I have no idea if the waiting period started when I filled out the initial paper work or when I filled out the paper work when it came into the store.

so at best 1 week at worst 2. That's assuming they haven't changed it while I wasn't paying attention.

It's five days for residents. I don't know how the law may differ for military personnel though.
>>
>>29741114
That's about what I've heard, isn't it supposed to be like 5 days?

>>
>>29741132
You are correct it's about 5 days, sometimes more or less by a day. I was looking into if active duty military get the waiting period waived but it looks like they, you, do not. But thank you for your service.
>>
>>29741132
it's five days. since 594, the law says it may take up to ten business days for a non-cpl handgun purchase to clear at the dealer before releasing the gun without a NICS response.
>>
>>29741307
*five days on average

>>29741258
the waiting period isn't waived for active duty military.

Bought a AR, 1911, and a M&P9 from them and the staff is great.

Always hit them for any transfers too.
None of them are paid by the way, theyre all volunteers who really believe in what they do.
>>
>>29738705
Selection doesn't get better around here. Feel free to dicker all you want. Remember you can probably find most of that stuff online for less.
>>
>>29741258
Thanks for taking the time.

>>29741307
So 10 days at the maximum if they don't get paperwork back?
>>
>>29738187
Is that the case with handguns only though?
I was able to walk into Dicks and walk out with a shotgun within the hour of filing paperwork.

Same thing with an online AR15 FFL purchase that I filled 1 sheet of paper at the counter when I came to pick it up.

Do people really only care about handguns (havent bought one yet)? Or is it cause Im white?
>>
>>29741445
Yeah, only handguns have the fuckery. They have to send paperwork into the local PD for a background check instead of the normal NICS.
>>
>>29741445
>>29741494

More specifically, it's only pistols.
>>
>>29741444
yep, ten business days maximum, even though the feds give three. you should be able to pick up the handgat on the eleventh day, but some shops wont release until they hear back or if it was a delay on a long gun or cpl pistol purchase for legal liability reasons.

>>29741353
ive heard pretty good things about them. do they have an inventory yet? the outdoor emporium in seattle is nice, and the people there are friendly as fuck too. it's a shame they got shafted with the seattle gun/ammo tax though.

No you all all idiots

It's a simple step and only a minor annoyance

It does however allows use to proscute the guys that buy a bunch of high point and then sell them to dindus in tacoma and white center

Just list something on armslist.

The amount of "hey no transfer please"

"do i need a background check"

are annoying as fuck.

I'm sure like 10 percent are atf but still.
>>
>>29742565
>It's a simple step and only a minor annoyance
its a waste of our money and time and it closes one of two ways for people under 21 to be able to purchase handguns.

>It does however allows use to proscute the guys that buy a bunch of high point and then sell them to dindus in tacoma and white center
so why hasnt this happened yet?
