What is the best APC/IFV around today?
>>29712655
In terms of what? Firepower? Protection? Mobility?
>>29712662
Overall desu.
Just a curiosity since there are fuckload of models around the world.
I see the the BTR is pretty good on Firepower and Protection,
>>29712655
Patria
Kurganets is xboxhueg, Bradley is obsolete, Stryker has wheels (lol), Namer perfectly fills in an Israel-sized niche, BMP-3 a shit gun
did I miss anyone important?
>>29712655
The Boomerang is excellent.
>>29712849
At driving in parades.
>>29712849
BTR is better.
>>29712700
Patria cannot into snow
VCBI has high capacity so more Frenchmen can retreat
Boxers are expensive
>>29712700
>BMP-3 a shit gun
Which is shit? The 100mm that has a barrel life of like 6,000 rounds or the 30mm which is a modified bmp 30mm afaik which has a lower rof but it's more accurate I think.
>>29712950
Where is this place?
>>29713052
given that the BMP-3's are CG it is probably just a random picture
>>29712679
>BTR
>Good protection
What is pic related?
>>29713076
Something that is apparently being redesigned as it has not shown up in the preparation for the Victory Day parade.
>>29713101
I actually meant OP's.
>>29712655
not sure if its the best, but the 9040 is pretty good overall
>>29712662
In terms of looks, fucboy.
>>29713250
AAV desu.
>>29713289
25 barbequed marines per AAV too
>>29713230
only thing it lacks is flexibility
>>29713318
Lacking flexibility you say?
>>29713301
They did well, throughout it's history desu.
>>29713404
mmm
I might have to reconsider
and speaking of flexibility
LAV III.
>>29713484
They look like tanks from Advanced Wars.
>>29713484
those ifvs have a nice mustache
>>29713501
i miss those games so much
>>29712896
>Patria cannot into snow
do tell
>>29713521
IIRC it was Fin anons complaining about them in wheels vs tracks threads.
I like OP's.
>>29712679
>Overall
Different countries have different needs and different limitations.
I think in an ideal world everyone would want something with the armor of a Namer, the strategic mobility of the VAB, the on-road performance of wheels, the off-road performance of very large low-pressure tracks, the amount and variety of ammo of the BMP-3, and the maintenance requirements of a Geo Metro.
Pic only partially related
>>29713587
>the amount and variety of ammo of the BMP-3
>not wanting the power of the BMP-T

>>29713612
BMPT is not relevant to this discussion or thread as it is not an APC/IFV according to the accepted definitions of said acronyms
>>29713612
1. BMPT is not IFV/APC, its a fire support vehicle on tank chassis.
2. 100mm+ATGM+30mm+7people is quite compareable to 2x30mm+4xATGM.
>>29713612
> it is not an APC/IFV
>>29713630
>BMPT memevehicle
Actually I must admit you are still right - it is a similar weapon package to that on the T-15 heavy IFV turret, and it's a potent and diverse weapon set for the kind of jobs an IFV would be expected to fill.
>>29712700
> Bradley is obsolete
Yes goy... I mean, dude! We need NEW vehicles... that cost a bazillion dollars each and are not substantially better then the existing vehicle!
>>29713471
I guess.
