Budd was a crooked politician. Capped himself.

Fuck off.

Budd was a honest working man republican who was framed for fraud by democratic enemies. Capped himself so his family could recieve his pension

>Budd was a crooked politician. Capped himself.
Wrong. Like >>29704919 said, they later found out he was actually framed. He should have hunted those mother fuckers down instead of killing himself...that shit was just cowardly.
>>
>>29705026

Pretty cowardly desu
>>
>>29705033
Unfortunately he would have been arrested for murder. he wanted his family to not go poor as fuck so he killed himself so his family could get his pension.

Sad state of affairs.
>>
>>29705068
Yeah it was fucked for him.
>>
>>29705068
This. He received the harshest possible sentence for a crime he didn't commit. (They got the real guy and posthumously acquitted budd later). His family was going to lose everything so he killed himself while still a state employee so they would be taken care of.
>>
There is a documentary about it, I think you can watch it on YouTube. Really sad. Forgot the name.

Any idea if the Feds or states ever changed their laws to specifically prevent anyone else's families from getting benefits from a suicide again? I think soldiers who kill themselves don't get benefits for their families is the closest thing I can think of

Holds out his hand, as if saying the point of no return has been crossed. Handed out 3 envelopes with a suicide note, an organ donor card, and a letter to the guy who replaced him. Killed himself so his wife and kids would be taken care of.

At this point you are still partially conscious in some ways still alive. A bullet through your brain is not instantaneous, nothing is except total near-instant destruction of the brain.

You destroy critical components of the brain but the brain still attempts to function until you have bled out / the cells have died.

>At this point you are still partially conscious in some ways still alive
No.
>A bullet through your brain is not instantaneous
If it's a rifle round from a decent range - then yes. Budd's brain took a .357 at it's top force. That way the shockwave from the bullet pass has enough energy to destroy most of the neurons in the brain, and scramble the synapses of the rest.

After properly eating a decent caliber up the mouth, you are instantly and certainly dead.

Not really cowardly. Buddy Guy's suicide was more like seppuku. Once he was sentenced, he would lose all his benefits and his family would have no means of support. By dying in office, he guaranteed his family would be well provided for. He also gave a pretty graphic FU to his enemies who were hoping to see him humiliated and forgotten in prison.

Weev wrote an excellent post on Dwyer and his significance to early Internet culture.

There are degrees of honesty. Some politicians are outright self-serving lying scum, some are more of a grey area where they're honest but manipulative where necessary.

Though tbqh other than secessionists (Scotland, Catalonia, Quebec), I can't think about any politicians who are verifiably honest about their goals. (even if they manipulate the truth to bring those goals forward.)

If you consider that he set-up the live broadcast deliberately to kill himself on camera he probably didn't think that much anymore.
He probably felt a bit of relief that it was all over now but who can tell that for sue?

Are you all retarded or do you just not know that there is this internet thing that anyone can search to see if if you know what you're talking about?

1) Bud Dywer was most likely innocent but he was never aquitted or pardoned

2) he was convicted but not sentenced, he committed suicide before sentencing so that his family would recieve his PA state pension for both his former job as a teacher and as a rep and the treasurer because he was essentially broke from 2 years of fighting the system.

3) he wasn't FRAMED so much as he walked into a political trap that the Republican governor (Thornburg) used to his political advantage to get back at Dwyer for percieved slights. Thornburg was a petty asshole.

4) William Smith, the feds primary witness against Dwyer, changed his testimony to make a deal with prosecutor James West, then later recanted it in a documentary called "Honest Man, the life of Bud Dwyer"

5) Dwyer never accepted or recieved any money, something that the prosecutor admitted in an interview. The footage of which is in the above documentary.

The heart keeps pumping quite some time even if your brain has exited your cranium. All those large blood vessels still gush blood to the head.

>instantly and certainly dead
I have seen quite a few suicides with handguns and birdshot to the head where the person was reacting to stimuli up to 10mins later.

They are still alive or atleast reacting for a few minutes afterwards if they were flinchers or they anticipated recoil and shot into their necks or grazed the head.

https://www.quora.com/How-long-does-a-person-shot-through-the-head-remain-conscious-to-feel-the-pain

Heres a good article explaining things. If you fire into a critical component and aren't just grazing it, you have no time to react or for the neurons to shoot their messages across the parts of the brain that are no longer there. Your dead instantly.

But as I am sure everyone knows people have survived with immense parts of their brain missing. Some people with severe epilepsy (I think thats what it was) get half their brains removed and still function 99% after a few months of physica therapy.

There are videos of people who had their face blown clean off along with pieces of skull and brain matter missing who were still alive for days afterwards.

People underestimate the resiliency of your skull and the natural barriers which protect the brain. If you wanna commit suicide better make sure you do it with 100% confidence and shot placement and don't use a anemic round.
