The vertebrae are S3, S4 and S5.
Upper back where the lats anchor. My last strength will drop right down and never come back.

I managed to put it off for a year using pain killers just so I could get my thirty years up and be the last one standing from my recruit platoon.
From my PL:
KIA 1
WIA, discharged 5
Discharged 28
Died in service, accedent 4
Retired age limit 2.
