Seriously, why not put 105mm wide stinger missiles in these things and have 6 rounds of "fuck you" to planes? Further, the longer and more rigid barrel than the tubes used to fire MANPADs ought to mean a quicker breach of the sound barrier and thus less susceptibility to trans-sonic fuckups or things like wind having a disproportionate affect due to initial low speeds of rocket systems.

Also why would you put man-portables on a vehicle instead of a bigger better system? Stingers are shit for AA, modifying it with longer tubes (kek) wouldn't do anything significant.

Take an abrams, modify the turret to allow it to elevate 90 degrees

And ballistic AA could still hit fast targets

Tube length does not effect velocity in tube-launched rockets the way it does with bullets, for one thing.
Next, and more importantly, do you expect that an armored vehicle is more or less visible than several infantry to hostile aircraft? Think of all the places, particularly in an urban setting, where a few guys with Stingers could set up shop. In a vehicle hulk, or the balcony of that nice hotel, maybe in that parking complex? Let's say that the helo pilot hunting them kills one or two. Does he know how many are left? Or where they are?
