There wasn't really a signature weapon; I was always doing research and trying to learn about different firearms. Many did not have a picture to reference and I learned years later if they matched up with my imagination.
I do remember falling in love with the MP7 after handling a friend's airsoft model. The thing was so handy and easy to manipulate. A favorite handgun was the Colta Delta Elite 10mm. I loved the profile, handling, controls, and the chambering.

Daisy Buck 105. It was $14.99 at BassPro one Christmas so I snuck it into my dad's shopping cart and didn't notice until we were checking out and then I begged him for it and he said sure.
It was pretty weak but I figured out how to angle it to get the trajectory right. I shot at soda cans on a wall and could make more hits than misses up until about 75 yards.
I wanted an M3 Grease gun so bad for backyard war games, I cut a one foot piece of handrail out of the stairway to make one. Dad was not amused.
I didn't know shit about guns when I was a kid, my mom was and is a hyper liberal retard. She wouldn't even let me have a Nerf gun or any gun shaped things

The first one I remember learning the name of was the M16 (yeah, just "M16". Not M16A1, A2, etc., just "M16")
Whenever I played army as a kid, if I wasn't using any generic weapon (machinegun, rifle, bazooka) I was using an "M16".
I didn't really get what exactly it was; to me it was whatever is had just seen the US military using.
In my head I typically imagined an M-16A2 though.
I remember I always mentally pictured the fixed stock and circular hand guard.
