EVEN IF the bullets were ferrous and magnetic, at the velocities they are travelling at it would either have to be a super strong electro magnet that would also involve the soldier being dragged head-first towards any vehicle/building made of steel, or would simply cause rounds that would have been center of mass shots to be throat/face shots.
I now have an image of soldiers being dragged by their headgear towards passing vehicles. You could clear a position by driving past it with a tank. Brilliant.
