How do I survive boot camp? I'm kind of a Pvt. Pyle type of dude.
Any tips for getting this over with as painlessly as possible?
Also, would it be possible to become a combat medic or something like that even though I'm a conscript? I have no problem with blood and gore and I kind of want to help people not die.

yep. went to a training school that was nothing like boot camp, other than you had to sleep in an open bay barracks, and there were no days off.
The instructors didn't even yell at you, it was the 30 other retards in your barracks bay that eventually drove you nuts by the end. No privacy and no alone time is hell for an introvert like me. I still consider that the worst time of my life, even though it wasn't that bad.
