what 7.62x39 caliber gun should I get? I want a 74 too, so I don't want an AK47 that looks almost entirely like my AK74, so I want something pretty unique looking. I was thinking VZ58 but they seem rare and I hear the 2008 is a turd. was also thinking an rpk/rpd but they seem long and unwieldy and semi auto rpd's are a little expensive for what they are. ultimately, I think I'd like a Zastava Pap pistol converted to rifle configuration with a long muzzle device welded on to make it legal, but I still have doubts. any suggestions?

Relief is coming, a batch of wolf laquored 5.45 is headed to sga. Also heard a rumor zqi is going to produce it as well. May not be as cheap as it used to however more non corrosive on the market is a good thing.

My advice, get a wasr for your 7.62 rifle. That gives you wood furnature and dat 45 deg block. For your 5.45 leave it poly or go full "alpha as fuck". I would suggest a slr104ur. It's fucking pricey, but I regret not doing it sooner. Sbr it for maximum Slav.
