Anyone here have experience with commercially built lorica segmentata armor? im going to be using it for some small reenactment next year (no, not a christian thing) Im feeling unsure about the quality of the brass pieces that make up the binding parts.
any recommendations where to find a decent one?

why would Roman reenactment be a Christian thing?
>>29490403
because most roman armor sold goes to churches to reenact stapling a jew on a wooden thing
>not a Christian thing
ghey

You'd need a handful of things you can find dirt cheap.
Watch this dude make gauntlets.

He even uses brass.
It's literally like papercraft. You can cut metal sheets like paper with metal shears.

They will all fall apart eventually, those little leather strings are the weak point.
Even a shitty one, if made the same way the Romans made them, should last a lifetime.
As long as it's not glued together or made from tin or something, it'll be ok
Ebay, or kult of athena if you are in yankee-land.
