I am going to buy my first pistol soon, I will only be able to use it at the range or eventually at home, I won't be able to carry it since it is impossible to obtain a permit for it ( living in Belgium ).

I have selected these 5 guns because the price is reasonable, I guess ( I am no ready to pay for a 2k€ Sig P226 desu ).

It would be nice to have your opinions if you had the possibility to shoot with them or even if you have suggestions for other guns.

CZ SP09
CZ P07
Beretta 92 FS
Beretta 92 SB
CZ P-09
>>
Beretta 92fs>CZ p09

I'd roll with the beretta they shoot well and mags are probably available for you maybe even the extended ones for funsies.
>>
I've shot most of these and like the cz p-07 and 09 the most. I just find them better feeling.
>>
>>29479092

What about the size ? Do you have big hands and if so, aren't they too small ?
>>
One vote for P-07.

Don't believe CZ's lies, its still a 16+1 not 15+1 if you break in the magazine.
>>
>>29479349

Not him but I have long fingers if not big hands and don't find the grip too short. Keep in mind 07 still has the capacity of a 92fs so the grip is about as long.
The newer 09 and 07 have replaceable backstraps.

Beretta is the correct choice, i have a 92a1 with a green laser light combo, and a moonlight tactical compensator, look them up, also a buch of other aftermarket parts
>>
>>29477865
Another vote for CZ, may as well get the full size since you'll never be carrying it concealed.
>>
p07 is a nice beater gun, got mine for about tree fiddy.

as for the 15/16 in the mag issue i just keep 15. seems like the mags were not really made for 16 in the first place.

don't expect the finish to be great but who gives a fuck?

hey man, I'm a Belgianfag myself. Just bought the cz 75 sp01 shadow for the same reasons you just mentioned. Paid €800 for it. Outside of range use, it will probably never see any action. Therefore I went with an all steel pistol. No need to save weight with polymer since I will never carry it. In fact, weight will make more pleasant to shoot I found.
I believe it to be one of the best pistols we can buy, without breaking the bank. Currently waiting for my model 4 to return from our province governor.

My father has the beretta 92fs model. It is an amazing pistol but after having tried the cz 75 sp01 shadow, I preferred it over the beretta. It feels beter in the hand. Just my opinion though.

Not sure where you are from, but try to see if someone will lent you some pistols at the range. I already had plenty of experience with my fathers beretta so I just tried different pistols that people let me shoot at the range I frequent. Several firearm shops have a decent collection aswel and will gladly let you hold their offerings.

Polymer frames on full sized handguns are a meme. Get the SP-01.

I need to know exactly how you would be able to eventually use it at home ?
Do you mean as means of self defense or actually in your backyard, because I have been toying with the idea of getting a backyard that is officially a licensed range.
>>
>>29477865
If it's primary role is target and/or sport, I would go with the 92fs. If you want it for home defense, get something with a rail so you can mount a light. Being in EU you may have better luck with CZ as far as aftermarket parts, I don't know what the import restrictions are like but it is something to consider. CZ are great guns, as are the turk clones of them.
>>
>>29479349
I have small hands and the P07 is an extremely comfortable fit, but I haven't had anyone with larger hands complain when I let them handle it.
>>
>>29481117
Please answer my question if you intended backyard shooting and if so, how.
>>
>>29481151
I'm not OP, I was responding to them... or so I thought.
>>
>>29477865
The P07 will do everything you need and will be concealable should you feel the need to in spite of the law.
>>
>>29477865
Get the P01. I bought a P07 and I'm disappointed. The 01 and 01 weight the same and the 07 is just underwhelming and the 01 is better in every way
>>
>>29479579
I just bought one and put 16 in the Mag today. It's hard but not impossible
>>
Glock 17 *cough*
>>
If you can't carry you might as well cross off the P07. Unless you really like the way it feels and points the P09 will satisfy all your range and home defense needs. Furthermore, the SP01's weight and sight radius will make it a helluva lot more fun at the range.

The Beretta just wont stand up to CZ, in my opinion.

You should check out the Sig Sauer P320. It's their first striker fired, polymer pistol. It's pretty awesome and more economical than the P226.

Are FNXes too expensive there or something?

The FN medalist is probably one of the, if not the most popular .22 precision pistol used in Belgium. Browning, being a part of FN is really popular amongst hunters in Belgium. For all the other pistols FN offers, they're polymer and mostly oriented towards LEO/military. Since in Belgium there are only 2 main reasons to own firearms as a civilian, hunting and sport shooting, a polymer handgun is not ideal.
Plus in Belgium the shooting community is mostly consists of retired men.

>mfw I'm 19
>my father is 53
>He is part of "the youth" at my shooting club.

Only upside is that everyone lets me shoot their guns since all of them want a son/grandson like me.
>>
>>29487284
These old men prefer traditional firearms, steel and wood.
>>
>>29485349

Yeah, pretty expensive
>>
How has no one pointed out that there's no such thing as an SP-09?
>>
>>29487598
Prolly a typo desu
>>
>>29479349
The 07 fits fine in my hands, easy to grip and hold onto. Its no sub compact.

I've shot every gun on that list in that configuration as well as other. Get an HK USP and don't waste your time with trash.
