I've always just had them flat with the jig punched theough the centre, put a little bit of lube or cleaning solution on it every few patches and run through till clean.

The rifling is so shallow on a 22 that you are almost surely doing more to degrade accuracy than promote it. 22 doesn't foul bad enough to warrant cleaning. Get all the junk out of the action and everything else, but don't touch the bore.

Yes, they usually shoot until accuracy drops off, and then they clean the barrel. It will probably take a few shots for the gun to settle again, but then it's good to go. And don't even try to tell me they only clean it once or twice in a life time. That's just fucking retarded. We also had compressed air in the equipment hall, we blasted whole gun with it first for ez mode. Dumb people cleaned their gun first and then finished with compressed air = shit particles every where again, they never seemed to figure this out.
