I bought a replacement for the more broken one online and I epoxied the mounting bracket on the other one. Sorry, went to eat with the family. It's worth it if you want the pleather, sunroof, and other gimmicks. The heated seats and windshield wiper defroster are nice for winter. I nearly bought a regular trail before I came across the premium for just a few grand more. Crazy thing about 4runners (and most Toyotas in general) is that a 5 year old model with 50k miles is only a few grand less than a brand spanking new one. They keep their value insanely well.

Forgot to mention, KDSS is nice from what I hear, but damn near impossible to find without special ordering a 4runner from a dealership (and have fun with the wait, places apparently can't keep 4runners in general in stock). If you have found one already, when you go to lift it, you'll have to be sure to get the KDSS specific version of whatever you choose. Mine doesn't have it, but it hasn't slowed me down any, and the ride is fine as is.

123k miles, brand new tranny, shocks, leafs, tires, and paint job.
It's got a 305, and a brand new flatbed on it too.
All it needs is a new fuse for the heater, and a new instrument cluster.
I think I got a pretty decent deal. I needed a proper work truck that would run cross country from coast to coast and I think that will do just fine. Everything mechanical in it is in just wonderful condition and I've got a book that gives details on every little thing that's been done on it.
I consider it an upgrade from my poor broke as shit Blazer.

On that trip I stopped in Moab for a few days and did Fins 'n Things along with sight seeing in Arches and Canyonlands national parks, then went on to stay in Ouray, CO for a week and went on the Jeep Jamboree. I did Black Bear by myself the day before the Jamboree, then went on Imogene pass, Ophir pass, Yankee Boy basin and Governor's basin
I haven't really expended the subaru reliability that people talk about. You also measure it's 0-60 on a calendar. The awd is glorious though. 05 with 52xxx miles.

It was truly amazing, I went 2-1/2 years ago and I think about going back all the time. I'm sure there are more challenging trails if you're looking to really get the full off-road experience, but for the most part all of the trails I did, even Black Bear, could be done in a stock 4wd vehicle. The scenery is what made it such a great experience. We even got caught in a blizzard halfway up Imogene and had to push on through to the other side. As we came down we stopped with snow falling all around us and looked down into a lush, green valley with rays of sun shining through beyond the clouds. Absolutely magic, best trip I've ever been on.

All the seats fold down flush to the floor, so I usually keep it like 2 seats in the front and then a huge flat space in the back. I can set up a little thermarest in there for road trips and stuff.
pretty comfy ride, desu. not as comfy as my old crown vic, which was like driving a barcalounger, but i like the height.
