what is cheapest full auto gun for civilians /k?
>>
>>29431941
Probably a MAC
>>
Uzis, usually.
>>
>>29431941
mac 10/11 are purty cheap
>>
Pretty sure you can get a Mac10 or Mac11 for like $4,000 plus stamp
>>
>>29431941
Those Reising SMGs can be had for like 4 to 7k last time I checked.

Look at your local laws
>>
>>29431941
Around $5k. Mac. Decent ones will run you around $11k
>>
>>29431961
5k?!?! where is such a thing
>>
>>29431941
mac 10
>>
>>29431941
Here's a short list:

MAC-10
MAC-11
FN FNC
AC-556
Reising M50/M55
>>
Can you just buy the cheapest full-auto, like a Mac-11 or whatever, take the sear out of it, and put it into an AR or something?

The sear is what the ATF considers the "machine gun" in the case of a FA, right?
>>
>>29431941
homemade open bolt .22
>>
>>29432131
Sears will only work in the gun they were designed for. You cannot take a H&K sear and put it into an AR-15. You have to buy a AR-15 sear.
>>
>>29432131
It wouldn't fit and if you machine it to fit then that's a felony.
>>
>>29432131
This question has been asked to the ATF before by some clever people who knew how to make it fit.

They said no.
>>
>>29432116
Almost forgot to mention the S&W M76/MK 760 and Madsen M50. However, more often than not most M50s are dealer samples, so you have to get an FFL to possess one.
>>
>>29432131
As the other anons said, not going to happen. I have however heard of "uppers" designed for Macs to make them more tactical or whatever.

There's no such thing as a universal auto-sear. Like >>29432146 mentioned, you have to buy an auto-sear specifically designed for that gun.
>>
>>29431950

5/7 perfect mac.
>>
>>29432141
Please, don't shoot my dog!!
>>
>>29432237
Those were pretty common back in the day.
>>
>>29432237
I would never shoot a dog. They are a superior life form.
>>
>>29431941
Just fucking make one. Either build a tube gun, or a nicer open bolt if you've got the skills. Ooorrrr just convert any gun you've got to full auto. There are official plans out there for glocks, 10/22s, ARs and AKs obviously, bunch of other stuff. Or just wing it and sand down some catch. Oh, and hide it somewhere when you're done.
>>
>>29432610
but then where would I shoot it? Do ranges inspect machine guns and shit to make sure its legal?
>>
>>29432958
Well obviously shooting anything full auto would draw too much attention, especially a homemade pos. It's called going out to the middle of nowhere and shooting it. Might want to build a suppressor for it too and thread that on, just to be safe. Or if you're lazy just use an oil filter, but suppressors are so easy to make.

Question... suppose a necessary part of the gun breaks, can it be replaced?

Do these weapons have a shelf life in other words?
>>
>>29433641
ATF is that you?
>>
>>29434067
>build one
Converting a .22 would be cheaper and easier by far if you're not talking proper channels.
>>
>>29434076
>Question... suppose a necessary part of the gun breaks, can it be replaced?
Can replace anything on a full auto but the serialized part, generally the receiver, without legal concern in the US.
In many guns the receiver doesn't get subjected to much stress proportionally, and you can replace barrels and bolts as they go, but the receiver stays fine.
Not always, though, for example, MP5's roller delayed action wears on the receiver considerably over time, and eventually I think you're just fucked.
>>
>>29432163

Yes. Those uppers are fine because those uppers aren't firearms per law.

The lower is the firearm.
>>
>>29434116
Weld 2 plates at 90°, assemble parts kit.
Wow. Such difficulty.
>>
Some backyard made pipe gun
>>
Bump stock obviously, OP, no one can afford full auto.

Fnc
>>
>>29434303
FNCs are over 10k.
>>
>>29434134

In the world of NFA, everything can be repaired.

No job is too big, no fee is too big.

>>
>>29431948
Uzi's usually go for +$10,000 now
>>
>>29431941
A sten from an aussie biker gang
>>
>>29434604
This.
Once that receiver is worth 10 grand it is worth repairing.

Like so many other ATF rules, the details are subject to much debate, but I have heard of some pretty extreme repairs to ar15 receivers.
>>
A Mac 10 would be the cheapest, and you could still expect a good $5k by the time it's all said and done.
>>
>>29435449

I heard of some guys who owned COLT M16A2s sending them to Colt for a complete "touch up" where they were altered to be much more durable and were changed to be more like modern M4s.
>>
>>29431941
FNC has been the cheapest assault rifle for pretty much ever. Bunch of sears were registered before the end came.
I think there are some cheaper sub guns but a FNC can go for like 9k.
>>
>>29435846
What's stopping someone from cutting out the portion of the M16 receiver that has the serial number and welding it onto an 80%?
>>
Stens, mac's and stemples are usually gonna go for 5000 to 6500. About as cheap as its ever gonna get.

Just 5 years ago these guns were worth 2500 to 3000.

Im betting in 10 years a registered sten will be 10,000.
>>
>>29436504
And if Hollis succeeds, $500.
>>
>>29436636
This DESU. It isn't unfeasible for the machine gun registry to open back up again in the near future. Then everyone and their sister will be able to make their AR's and AK's select fire, or install those backplates that make Glocks full auto. The prices of Stens and Macs would plummet.

Going to federal prison for 10 years

The ATF paper pushers got wise after a while
>be guy
>buy mac10 or the like that is an NFA machinegun
>fill out in the make slot of the transfer paperwork "MG42" instead of mac10
>wait apprehensively
>it gets approved because the ATF is staffed with useless bureaucrat tards who didn't look up the serial beyond yes this is on the registry
>cut serial off the Mac
>build full retard mg42 parts kit gun
>immediately post on ye olde mid 90s version of armslist "MG42 REGISTERED TRANSFERABLE ONLY 17,000 DOLLARYDOOS"
>sells immediately
>guy gets his gun
>notices the serial is welded on the side
>shuts the fuck up because the ATF NFA transfer cleared
>asshurt he got ripped off while trying to rip off a rip off artist, but too afraid to complain because he's out money abd ATF Gmen will swipe his new toy if he tattles.
>this happens repeatedly
>eventually someone in the ATF gets wise and cracks heads
>no more grey area "registered" M(AC)G42s
>>
>>29436655
Or at least for the registry to remain open for trusts.
>>
>>29436758
I was talking about keeping it the same model.
Ostensibly, it would just be a major repair, same as cutting out material from the receiver and replacing it.
>>
>>29432116

doesn't the Chautchat go pretty cheap as well?
>>
>>29436636
>>29436655
Do you guys know something I dont or are you being optimistic?
Last I checked there had been no real progress, nor anyone with any real reasources actually challenging the NFA. Only a few desperate hail mary's that fell flat on thier face without even making it in to court.
The closest is the hearing protection act, and from the looks of it its been pidgeon-holed in comittee and isnt getting anywhere.

You could get a MAC11 lower, and then for a few hundreds more add a Lage MK2 upper. You get a more usefull SMG with rails that takes Suomi drums, pretty neat.

Invest in a shit ton of silver now, and you jusssttt might not have a problem with that price in two years or so.

Minus the prison of course.

Maybe we should take a lesson from the potheads. They're winning the war on drugs and all it took was civil disobedience, millions of ruined lives, and a huge drain on the economy. But they're winning. Almost a Pyrrhic victory but better than no victory.

Just throwing it out there guys, but almost every luxury good is in a huge bubble right now, from classic cars to, well, every other expensive hobby. Wait for it to pop and full auto prices will plummet.
