If I were you, I'd wait until the 2016 version starts selling, it give you a QD mount up front, and replaces the rails with m-lok cuts.
Other than that, I love the thing, I'll send in my SBR paperwork as soon as my tax return is direct deposited.

It takes 30 round mags. You can slap the charging handle like an HK. there is almost nothing wrong with the gun and definitely nothing wrong that can't be fixed. You can even put 2 charging handles on it, pic related.

It's much more controllable and easier to shoot. Same reason anybody gets pistol caliber carbines.

I would agree with you if you also had those rifle conversion kits (according to ATF classification and not caliber of course) for pistols.
