Yes, semieffective
600ml plastic coke bottle with 4 extra bottoms of same bottles makes an effective expansion chamber plus assymetric baffle stack. External moderation and held together with 100mph/duct/rape-tape.
Can drill 1/4in hole through bottle baffles or just let first shot bust through.
Used on .22LR rifle hoseclamped to barrel.
Obscures iron sights so need himount scope rings

When I was a kid I would tape 10-15 plastic soda bottle caps together with electrical tape. I made a makeshift mount out of pvc and more tape. It would effectively silence a .22 but only lasted for maybe 10 shots due to no precision and the hole getting shot out more and more.
