How do you store your ammo?

>Bottom Right - 2600 rounds of ZQI M855
>Mid Right - 1000 Rounds of Wolf Gold 223
>Top Right - 900~ Rounds of Monarch Steel 223 & around 1200 Rounds of American Eagle Brass 223

>Bottom Left - 3000ish rounds of 9mm FMJ 115 and 124gr
>Mid Left - 556 and 9mm defense rounds
> Top Left - Mags

I don't have as much as most people, but its a start
>>
I have a big black garbage bag I throw all my rounds into.

>>
>>29385020

invest in some ammo cans. They look cool, and insure they will stay safe from humidity and something like a flood destroying your ammo.
>>
>>29385020
Plano ammo cans. How many cents per round was the ZQI?
>>
>>29385073
29c per round, I purchased them pretty recently. I figured I would stock up before the elections
>>
If you are a college student, you probably have access to Office 2013 update, along with a download for Microsoft access.

If you are like me, and are autistic enough to track purchase history/how much you actually shoot per year/tracking how much you shoot on a gun/cost tracking etc.

Get yourself Microsoft Access and start playing around with it out download one of the inventory templates.

Initially, alot harder to set up than an Excel spreadsheet, but in the long run will be real simple and easier to view your data in a sensible way
>>
>>29385020
I store my Shooting ammo all in Metal 50 cal and 30 cal cans. I keep my collectable 30-06 in an old WW1 1500 round crate. and the rest of my collectable ammo is in some plastic bins for now until I get some shelfs
>>
>>29385219
>He thinks people pay for Microsoft Office

No but really, I don't track how much I shoot or how much it costed, I just track how much I currently own

What use is the other data?
>>
I keep it in 30 and 50 cal ammo cans. Mostly loose cuz I reload most of my ammo but some of it is boxed. I also save desiccants when I can and put them in the cans.

Currently have them in a 6 foot tall cabinet. Shelves are pretty flimsy so I might make tougher ones. Or else I'll find a different place to store them, maybe get something I can lock. Idk.
>>
>>29385273
It's kind of important to keep track of how much money you contribute to gun culture. Or at least, it's important to me.

Guns are fun to shoot once in a while, but every dollar you spend on ammo, is a dollar the NRA can use to kill children and teens. Moderation is the key I think. It's the same with fireworks. They're fun for one day of the year, but we don't do that shit every day because it causes global warming and devastates the planet. Christian fundies will pretend that the fourth of July isn't one of the hottest days of the year though.

So yeah. Have fun, but do it responsibly.

Is it a smart idea to vacuum seal ammunition?

Access isn't included in most Office packages.

So yeah, torrent it otherwise.

As far as other data...

I like to track malfunctions and ammo type, costs are nice to keep track of-- prices going up? Staying the same? Dropping? etc.

May not be of any particular use at any given time, but there may be instances it can be helpful to look back and see something you are curious about.

>What is hornady vs. plinking ammo
>>
>>29385897
it depends on what you are going to do with them man. I use the fat 50's for bulk storage because fully loaded they are too heavy to move around but they hold a ton. then I use them to fill the m2's that I bring back to my range because they are a lot lighter. .30's are nice if you just want to shoot one gun and put a couple mags in and go. so I am having a fan of some of each but it is up to you bruv.
>>
>>29385798
You really should invest in a few ammo cans or other sealable containers. Anything less is truly outrageous.

more useful/professional looking for people who compete. if you're a plinker, casual shooter, or fudd it's way better to show everyone how much money you just spent at the pro shop by displaying your recently opened ammo package at your shooting station.

How in God's name is there any difference between a fucking small duffle bag full of loaded mags and that thing?
>>
>>29386113
suck it. empty mags stored with full mags is a soup-sandwich waiting to fuck you in the mouth.
>>
>>29386121
I do that to. when I have a duffle i find myself rifling through it to find which mags are full and which are half full or empty. turn it over in the can when its empty, problem solved. douche.
>>
>>29386121
If you mix mags (Glock CZ SIG) then you can easily separate them. Also, it's nice if you are mixing ammo in an AR, as you can see what mag is loaded with what.

It's also 25 bucks, which is 2 boxes of 9mm and a Dr pepper.

>>
>>29387770
Gonna +1 that 50's sick to move when loaded with ammo.
30's are just the right weight desu
I've got 24 boxes of wolf gold (each) in two of my 30 cal cans, and about 120 rounds of 12ga in another.
>>
I just leave them in the boxes they come in. I organized the first 50k or so but now its too much of a pain in the ass to do. I just have a spare room that is piled with ammo and mags. I will have to move it to the basement soon though, I'm concerned about having 6 tonnes of ammo on the second floor of my house.

Haha...I do that. In my defense, I have about 36 different caliber sand I can't keep track of them all in my head. I also track what I pay so I have a reference.
