I have a chance to buy a new hunting rifle in 7mm (7mm is debatable)

My choices are
A) savage axis ii
B) savage 11 trophy hunter
C) Remington sps
Pick one and tell me why please. Also I'm using this for hog hunting in Florida also hunting rifle thread, I don't think that's a thing but let's do it

Give us some more context you dumb faggot nigger. Is budget a major concern? Aftermarket?

Savage Axis II won't do you wrong.

There is just a 7mm cartridge too. I would go .308 or 6.5 imo

Would probably get 7mm08 if I had a do over instead of .308 & 7mmRM

But I do love my hog hunter too, if only they made one in 7mm or 6.5

Probably will get a rpr in 6.5 next anyhow
>>
Thanks for the replies, 7mm 08 sorry for not specifing thought it was pretty self explanatory
>>

Have you considered the savage 11 hog hunter in .308?

You could shoot surplus 7.62 out of it also...
>>
>>29384174
Any advantages over 7mm
>>
>>29384224
Not him, but cost in ammo. More practice is the only thing that could really make you a better shooter. And for hog, either cartridge is sufficient, so you might as well go with the more common and cost effective .308
>>
>>29384224
Just price & ammo availability

.308 would work fine on hogs

I would recommend 7mmRM for long range, or 7mm08 for deer, but just hogs might warrant cheaper ammo

I'll take that into consideration thanks

Savage hog hunter retails for about $450-475 around here

Good deal IMO,
Comes with back up iron sights
Heavy barrel, fully floated
Threaded for muzzle device/suppressors
Accutigger
All weather stock
3-4 round internal mag iirc
Oversized bolt
& more

You can get a pretty nice setup for $6-700 & an awesome setup for $1000 -1500

I thought the hog hunter had a detachable box Mag of like 10-20 ?
