Doesn't have the recoil of a carbine length, and rifle length is unnecessary for a 16in gun.

20in A2 upper rifle length.

Fucking kebabs

depends on the ammo being used

Middle

Non pencil barrel keeps groups tight, plus the added benefit of a bayonet actually fitting right because of the mid length system

yeah I understand the key difference between the lengths is the gas system and how quickly it begins cycling. but the a1 is always relevant, and always the best

rifle length imo
>>
14.5 or shorter is carbine length
16 works best with mid length but in a pinch, carbine works ok too
rifle is only good on 20 inch guns
>>

Lowest. Carbine length gas system on a 16 in barrel is retarded, and I'm assuming that the ports are properly sized on the lowest one to function correctly.

The difference in felt recoil is not that significant in terms of carbine vs midlength but the latter is objectively better. I have a 16 inch midlength but I find the carbine handguards to be better. My shit preference but whatever

I have a rifle with 16" barrel and carbine gas system. Not a single failure in 3,000 rounds. Being over gassed makes it negligible difference on wear and tear compared to a middy, and it also is more reliable when cycling.

What's with the hate?

so what's a 18" barrel sit at?
Mid or Rifle length gas?

I'm biased toward a dissipator upper with a carbine gas system under the handguard. I think it's cool

Get what you like man, that's what will serve you best in the long run (unless you have truly awful taste and pick something shitty)
Good luck

For 18" barrel, go rifle length gass
>>

same experience here. And mine mostly shoots tula.
