Does anyone have a comprehensive list of all the firearms Japanese officers use? There isn't much information on this but from googling, they use

Japanese police forces are basically nationalized. They don't have a huge amount of variation.

I recall a YouTube video of a hostage situation in china. They offered the perp a Coke and once he noticed it was already open he told the cops to fuck off. Eventually some lady cop ( in her 40s 50s) offers him a closed drink. So he pushes the hostage behind him and reaches out to grab it while lowering his guard.Lady cop did a quick draw and dropped him in 3 shots then emptied the rest on him while he was on the ground even though he dropped his weapon

cops in Chnia are being issued these new revolvers, the Type 05. Basically until recently Chinese cops just got military surplus of whatever gun was being phased out of the army a t the time so they were getting the Type 54 pistol which was... a fucking Tokarev, which they quickly found out, was too powerful for police work, it blows through whoever they were trying to catch. I was stationed in Japan for 4 years. You can always hang out with the airsoft crowd. I know an bar in Tokyo that had an indoor airsoft range with targets on rails just like on the States. The girls there get really impressed if you show them pictures of your real guns from home.
