I've had the full rip of El Dorado 1988 on my computer for 5 years and I haven't been able to sit through the first 15 minutes. No problem with polish and german historical epics. The romantic languages just sound like guttural screeching.

It's a great book, talks in detail about weapons, tactics, terrain, and how they all interact to create the outcome of the battle. It's got a ton of cool battles going from ancient Egypt to the Gulf War, and great big colourful maps of the battles showing the different troop movements. It even has a great chapter about Brits gunning down durkahs with Maxims.
