Could it work?
No.

Sure, for 1977 static rpg target practice
>>29324454
It could work poorly, yes
>>29324454
what could you possibly use that thing for?
>>29324454
What kind of missions would it perform? Besides the fact that it looks idiotic, I don't see any use for it.

air support for itself.
>>29324646
You have no imagination at all.
It can function as a tank, so provide armored support to infantry. If necessary, it can fly itself over obstacles, hover behind hills and pop up to launch missiles, etc, etc.
The problem would be lifting an entire MBT along with a combat helicopter's payload.

it already exists

except that the hind cannot move on the ground, so it cant park somewhere to provide fire support to ground troops for example.

>lets take our air support and make it even more of an easy target by landing it and then let it crawl around on the ground
>>29324454
I know you could make a light tank airborne thanks to Soviet experimentation. I'm not so sure about hovering, but a light tank configuration with AP auto cannons and ATGMs would be pretty sweet while in a light tank configuration.

Absolutely not.

Yeah a tank is armored. So it can somewhat stand a chance against other MBTs. Helicopter's natural predators are various types of AA that are usually smaller than a MBT round. So, since this isn't Battlefield and helicopters don't need to worry about taking 120mm AP to the face, they're not armored for such. Because when it comes to flying; fat birds aren't good at it.
Just make a transformer, so you can change modes on the go.

anon you are in a thread about fully armored flying MBTs. Think hard before replying.

kek

It's got wheels, don't it? How do you think it moves around at the airfield?
>>29326469
Picked up and carried around by team of Slavs.
