They're actually quite impressive bits of wood carving, when I was doing some contract work in PNG I got to see a few of them from the locals (thankfully not at any velocity)
The bows are also quite a remarkable bit of gear, kind of around the size of an english longbow, shooting these 4-5ft long barbed pieces of shit around 100-120m with some accuracy.

Hated that he sold it, didn't know for a long time he did. Bought my own Smith Revolver just the other day, didn't want too fully imitate the old gun(only if I found one just like it) but start on my own with a great wheel gun. Got a Smith & Wesson model 13, blued with real pearl grips.

Same here man. my dad must have run through 20-30 guns when i was growing up. now he has zero and i own the last one he bought. non of the milsurp, non of the revolvers, non of lever guns, non of the shotguns, non of the pistols, not even one of the dozens of .22s. Never though to save one of the 4-5 cars when i was in my early teens for when i learned to drive, never tried to teach me to drive, didnt know i could until recently, was always a year or two off with my age.
