its a less pretty, less cool USP, but cheaper and ive heard nice things about it.
most will say if you want HK, than get a USP, if you cant afford or find a USP, get the HK45.

if you don't want that, get a glawk
>>
>>29293457
I have the USP 45 good solid handgun I like it nad would like the p30 someday, the p30 and HK45 are what you might call derivatives of the USP
the VP9 and 40 are cosmetically similar to the the P30 but not mechanically,
PS the p30 is on the top of my 9mm list with the usp 9 as well

>most will say if you want HK, than get a USP, if you cant afford or find a USP, get the HK45.

A long while back while ThatGuy was still posting regularly, I saw an HK general thread and asked for the differences in the more modern HK pistols (USP, P2000, P30, VP9 etc.) and they all basically said "If you want an HK pistol, VP9 is best." I bought some USPs instead, and always wondered if I made the right choice (I love them so far, really). Looks to me like the only thing newer models have going for them is better ergos.

So uh.... Were they retarded that day? Did I really choose wisely?
>>
>>29299291
vp9 cant shoot when wet. MAC stopped shilling it. that says it all right there.
>>
>>29299314
Wet as in water, or wet as in over-lubed like a twink's anus?
>>
>>29295069
it's not any cheaper than a USP, in fact it's more
the hk45 is also around the same price
>>29293457
If you want an HK, look at the p2000 also, it is a USP and p30 mixed, and is about $200 cheaper
>>
>>29299291
If you want any info on HK, I can help you out a bit. (I know about their handguns anyways)
>>
>>29299335
Are we talking models or mechanisms here? I already have my USPs, so I'm pretty locked in there. Only other HK handgun on my to-do list at this point is snagging a Mk23 if I can find one for the right price.

But if you have advice on best spots to keep lubed, or must-have accessories on a USP, I'm all ears. Or eyes. Yes. Eyes.
>>
>>29299349
I think I half read your post, I thought you were trying to decide.
USP is the best HK imo, the newer ones don't feel as solid to me.
Lube? on a USP? why..........
the downfall of the USP is the rail, but personally I could give a fuck less about some gay light on my handgun.

Totally agree there, though there are light/laser options for it if I ever felt like being lazy. I dislike the idea of the bulk though.

sorry for in advance for shitposting a bunch in here but im a big Hk fag and this thread activated my trap card

I've owned the USP9t USP9c P2000 HK45 HK45c VP9 and I will say that the model that I just recently bought and have fallen in love with as far as CCW is the P30sk. Was skeptical at first because it was pretty small but after ordering a base plate for the standard 10rd mag makes the gun ergonomically one of the most comfortable CCW handguns ive ever owned. Being able to change the backstraps and grips around like the VP9 as well as taking the VP9/P30 mags is also a major plus. Seriously if you can find it (havent seen many around) you should absolutely check it out. It is in my opinion about 100x better than the p2000

I'm pretty positive that the HK45 is just as expensive if not more expensive than the USP. It is HKs updated model if I'm not mistaken. Not saying it's better or worse or anything because I own both and love them equally but it is extremely hard to beat the HK45c. The HK45ct is like 1100-1200$ so it is not any cheaper than the USP. In fact, I've seen USPs around for 800-900
>>
>>29301923
Second. I saw an HK45 in the case with a USP .45 at KY Gun co this week and the USP was about $80 cheaper. I think I paid $1200 for my HK45 and 3 mags.

These guys have to be thinking of the MK23 vs HK45.

The HK45 IS the new version. The USP went into production in 1993. I don't know when the HK45 was designed but it was after the P2000 (2001) and before the US Joint Combat Pistol program was suspended (2006). I agree that I wouldn't say one is better than the other. I like mine but I've only ever shot USPs here and there with friends, never owned one.

The new line kicks the shit out of USPs when it comes to ergos and that helps me shoot them better, I will say that. The P30Sk is the most comfortable shooting carry gun I think I've ever owned.
>>
>>29293457
Just buy a USP.
>>
>>29295069
no. the hk45 and p30 don't work like the vp9. they are more expensive than the usp line. They also are more ergonomic. current gen h&k guns are comfy as fuck. Now the trigger is nothing to write home about, it's no usp match. But a vanilla usp45 is cheaper than a h&k 45, and the same is true for tactical models.
>>
>>29301923
>>29302394
So if I'm a poorfag I should just stick with the USP? I'm saving up for a USPc so I can CC it and use it for HD
>>

if you're a poorfag, don't buy h&k. it' a high quality product and it cost extra money. while i think it better than a glock, it's certainly less coss-efficent.

The HK45 has a better rail
better ergos(for some),
lighter

The USP 45 has
more capacity
better buffer system
better trigger(for some)

No its not, learn how to shoot.
>>
>>29306960
>Someone claimed a gun has an inferior trigger to another gun
>He must not be able to shoot

Nice.

The P30/P2000 has a worse break, reset, and is grittier in DA than a USP, I own two USP's, a P30, and had a P2000sk (albeit LEM).
>>
>>29307030
>He must not be able to shoot
Literally the problem every time someone complains about an HK trigger. I was shooting rentals too.

The only thing that is worse is reset, but that only matters for people who dry fire their guns instead of shooting them.
>>
>>29307071
>Paging the gun doctor, please continue your diagnosis.

Sorry no-guns, but it is a worse trigger, it has a much better grip, and shoots well, but the P30 is lacking on the trigger side. I'm not even a trigger snob, just pointing out that it is not as good of a trigger. Additionally, its not like the USP trigger is anything special either, a well tuned 1911 stomps all over it.
>>
Why cant the HK45 shoot steel? I have one and literally every mag of steel I shoot the slide locks up and I have to hit the back of the slide to get it to close.

>>
>>29307166
How many rounds do you have through the gun? It's possible its not broken in yet and due to the somewhat light loading of the ruskie ammo the slide doesn't have enough velocity to return to battery fully.

Also, buy better ammo.
>>
>>29307226

>>29293457
I own a USP and two USPCs. Also own a VP9. Haven't shot the HK45s, but I've held them and they were nice. P30 and P2000 feel nearly identical aside from the slight differences.

With the VP out I would bypass all the other H&K pistols and buy a VP9 again if I wanted an H&K gun for practical carry/use. There just isn't a lot the other guns offer unless you insist on a hammer, need a K/SK size for carry, or need a factory ready suppressor host.
I just wish H&K would get on with it and release a compact VP9 that uses USPC/P2000 mags within the next year... or two. Hopefully...

Like a USPC with a smaller/adjustable grip, less aggressive texturing, and a rail. Oh, and the ambidextrous slide release if that matters to you.

The HK45 and P2000s really just feel like product improved/tweaked USPs to me, which is a good thing. The P30 does feel a little removed from either though, I suppose.
