I wouldn't. I just don't get how the image name relates to the SKS picture. What's the felony?

turning a functional rifle into an shittier, equally expensive version of an AR-15.

>>29269999
I want that one, such Mad Max aesthetics.
>>29270626
Yup brand new in the box marlboro lights. Price was hard to figure out since they are "Pre ban". Sure I know that there is not a ban "yet" and is not likley to be one, but look we all have to make money. I have taken a note from the fablious sellers here on armslist. I guess if you pretend there is a ban you can charge 10x more so since these new in the box marlboro lights were 4.97 at the store I will sell them for 49.70. Wait if you are into the cool guy thing I can smoke one out of the pack and be like the guys selling glocks and it will be 104.97. Isnt that how it works in Denver used glocks worth $100 over new because they were shot by some idiot. If you like the custom mosin guys I can have my granddaughter scribble on the pack and we can call them custom.

I can't believe somebody spent money on this. Who the fuck looks at an AR-7 and thinks "yeah this needs another $300 of crap on it" when they could have bought a 10/22?

>>29270059
Why would you ever do this when there exist Ruger 10/22s and Smith & Wesson M&P-15/22s?
The AR-7 isn't exactly an amazing plinker, I don't get why you would ever think "this makes a good base for my 'tactical' plinker!"
>>29270079
Don't see the issue with this one.
>>29270109
These were actually issued survival rifles for if Israeli pilots crashed in the wilderness, they specifically had them made to have the FAL pistol grip and a collapsing wire stock (I don't quite understand WHY though, when the regular setup works).
>>29279596
Absolutely.
Designed by Eugene Stoner of AR-15 fame, the AR-7 is a .22LR semi-automatic that can be easily taken down into three major components, the rear of the stock has a compartment where the receiver of the gun, the barrel, and two spare 8 round magazines can be stored (in newer models a magazine can be stored together with the receiver as well).
This makes for a compact package which you can easily stow in an airplane, car or boat, in case you get stranded out in fuckall nowhere and need to forage for food to survive.
The gun isn't exactly built like a tank, but it doesn't have to be, it's not a combat weapon and it's not meant to be used as a plinking rifle, it's supposed to be a "just in case" kind of weapon, that's compact and can be very helpful in an emergency, the underlying idea is that you're probably only going to shoot it every once in a while, if an emergency happens.
>>29279818
I heard the DEs are actually pretty reliable and precise guns. It seems they are comfortable to shoot, too because of their weight, even in .44 Magnum.
>>29279927
I know they're not bad but if you're going to go full retard on a gold deagle you might as well get one in .50 AE.
Fun fact: The same company that makes the Desert Eagle also makes a pretty damn good 1911.
>>29279927
I have heard that they're not very reliable, due to the tiny gas system. They're fine for a plinker and hunting gun, but you need to take care of them
>>29279818
All you need to do is swap out the barrel.
Also, .44 out of a Deagle gives some pretty impressive velocities given the lack of cylinder gap.
>>29279927
>I heard the DEs are actually pretty reliable
Nyyyeeeeaaaaaeehhhh sort of, they'll behave decently if you know how to treat them, but I wouldn't take them outside of an environment for recreation or sporting (what they're intended for).
Some might argue they could make for a good bear gun, but I'd err on the side of caution, they're ultimately kind of testy guns.
>and precise guns.
That they are.
>>29269879
>Remington
>>29279973
I actually didn't know you could change the caliber just by swapping the barrel. That makes it pretty cool with that alone in my book. Almost like a .357 revolver taking .38 special.
>>29279964
>I have heard that they're not very reliable, due to the tiny gas system.
It's more that they're finicky.
>They're fine for a plinker and hunting gun, but you need to take care of them
This is the thing, unlike regular automatics that operate on blowback and short recoil, the Desert Eagle will require frequent cleaning and care, see the image in: >>29279973
>>29279975
Surprise, Remington actually made nuggets.
Westinghouse too.
>>29279994
Yeah, all Deagles made since the 1990's have interchangeability like that, so you can start out with a .357 and then at a later date get the bigger calibers.
Also worth noting is that .44 Magnum, .50AE and .440CorBon all use the same slide, as .50AE and .440CorBon have rebated rims, giving the bottom of the cartridge the same profile as that of the .44 Magnum
>>29279596
>(AR-7)
>these strange little things interest me highly. anyone know if it is .22?
when I was a kid we thought these (Charter then) were the kewlest shitting-around guns to be had. none of us had one tho. and I ever got around to buying one.
~10 years later I got to shoot a Charter Arms one. absolute shit. shit trigger, shit barrel.
20 years later,,,,,, I still think they look nifty. But I still don't got one.
>>29270186
If I ever direct a dystopian bladerunneresque short film, I'm going to have all the lovable criminals armed with ceracoated pistols from the turn of the century. A retro futuistic version of niggergats with thier duct tape grips and sawn off trigger guards.
>you will never fight off the space gestapo with a ceracoated 32s&w revolver loaded with saboted tungsten penetrators
>jk this is the future you chose
>>29273924
>I put in a $10 trigger spring known to lower reliability, which makes this gun you can buy NiB for $550 or less worth 200 more.
I'm not sure whether idiots like this just hope someone out there has a computer that can only go to armslist or if the sap who bought that with his mcdonalds paycheck and realized he needs to make rent this month actually got shafted bad enough to get a 92 compact for several hundred over list, meaning he's actually selling it at a loss if he unloads it for more than you can get one at a bigbox store.
>>29280056
The Charter Arms ones were generally recognized as bad.
If you're interested, check out the Henry ones.
