My most recent addition was also an M1917. Mine was made by Eddystone in 1918. Here it is alongside my Springfield 1903.
The stock on your '03 looks a heck of a lot like the ones Numrich used to sell. Does it happen to have any government cartouches on it?

I wonder if they came from the same folks. I had one of the Numrich stocks for a while but I never could get it to take a decent finish. I put dozens of coats of linseed oil on it.

The stock is pretty, a little tiger striping, if I took linseed to it it would probably do it some good.

That appears to be a P9, which is a damn-near-perfect clone of the Hi Power.
FEG eventually switched to making the P9M, which has a slightly modified slide stop. Also some of them had a Smith & Wesson-style barrel linkage.

On a new gun I don't *think* there'd be much wiggle room on price.
In my neighborhood, Wal Mart and Academy generally have the best prices, although their selection is sometimes scanty. But any place that sells pistols will sell Glocks.
Glocks are pretty much a commodity, I really doubt you're going to get screwed buying a new Glock.
