Where I'm at its completely legal to make garage guns. Me and a friend are going to start with a 25acp, got prints/destructions. Any other easy to make garage gins out there? We were thinking a sten next. Any recommendations as far as tools/equipment would be legit. Pic not really related.

You can buy a reduced diameter reciever tube so that it cant take a full auto bolt, and they make closed bolt semi auto conversion kits that cost about 250 bucks.
I got my parts kit and whatnot, just waiting on the 16 inch barrel to show up and I'm gonna get started on my build.

Unless you have an ATF letter saying otherwise, open bolt is open bolt.

Plenty of subguns have been remade as closed botl semi autos
Also, the ban isnt on open bolt, its on open bolt with fixed firing pins.

If you're in the US and making "1 of" guns that is different than manufacturing. Please avoid using the word manufacturing when referring to your garage hobby, there are severe legal problems that could occur.

Do NOT store or leave out oily rags when working with metal working tools that throw sparks.

Even if everything is legal you now look like just another dumbass for the antis to point at and go "were not saying you can't have guns, were just saying only licensed corporations should make them, its just common sense!"
Also, get a fire extinguisher. Preferably 2 or 3 of them.
