So im watching Fear the walking dead and it has me thinking.
how prepared are you guys.
Im probably pretty fucked unless i get ontop of it early.
I have probably about 150 rounds of ammo for about 6 differnt guns.
I have two axes, a couple of knives, and between me and my brother about 4 descent swords/only one is mine but me and my brother live together.
I have a place to go, hunting land about 45 minutes away. remote enough to keep the dead away for a few weeks.
a weeks worth of can food, and there are supplies at base camp.
problem is one of my brothers lives 20 minutes in one direction with his wife and newborn son, my mom and her husband live about 20 minutes the another direction/ both live about an hour and 30 minutes from base camp.
But i also have to get my friend and her kids, i can pick them up on the way to camp.
but she will want to get her asshole dad and her schizo brother about 20 minutes in the opposite direction.
I also have to get my blind grandma and other grandma they both live in the city about 45 minutes from me.
plan is to tell everyone to meet me at the lake and then escort them to base camp.
like i said pretty fucked unless i get ontop of it early. im pretty screwed cuz of my family.
I also have some cousins an aunts who might need help as well.

mock me all you want but even the crudest plans are better than nothing.
For a realistic SHTF scenario, go for a month's worth of food and water for everyone, and plenty of medical supplies and the knowledge to use them properly. A satellite phone, CB/HAM radio or some other communications device like that would be a good choice, and don't forget some solar panels or some other means of providing electricity. Also, make sure you have at least a few fire extinguishers.

As for weaponry, it's obviously better to have some than not, but the vast majority of SHTF scenarios won't see you needing to use them except for perhaps hunting.
Don't gear up to just shoot looters - bear in mind that you'll probably have to do some looting yourself if things get bad enough, and there's no reason to kill people over something that you don't even need yourself. If you are going to loot an empty building, be sure to keep a watch on it for a day or two beforehand to make sure there's no loonie guarding it waiting to shoot you over a can of beans, never go in alone, never take more at a time than you can run with, and don't bother with anything that you have no practical use for even if it's piles of gold bars.

Honestly, you need to prioritize. If there was 20 different people, all spread out over the map, and the habbening habbened, I wouldn't be driving all over creation to pick up a shit ton of people. Stupid plan. Nigs/zombies/red menace would be clogging ip the road.
Have them meet somewhere, like you said. Have them get their own shit, shit they should already have in case of nautral disasters. You're not gonna save everybody yourself.

You'd be better off selling all but your two best guns and using the money to get more ammo for those. There's no point in having a gun in the first place if you can't actually shoot it, is there?

I am very prepared. I have a Yamaha Side x Side capable of storing preps in the back. It is great on fuel so me and three friends can get the fuck outta dodge and do patrols.

I take a pretty reasonable approach to prepping. I have 1 month worth of canned food in a deep pantry. and 1 month of freeze dried food. I also have 3 cases of water. This is more than enough to get you through most real world disasters.

Do this: Get a local area map, plot everyone's grid, draw lines from furthest house to nearest house by your rendezvous point. Farthest goes down the line and scoops everybody up, then rolls to the point.
As I said, risking your life to save everybody is quite unrealistic, and would be a danger to your group, since you're the one giving enough of a damn to think about this. It's shitty, but in a SHTF scenario, you gotta take care of yourself. If they're serious about it, they'll follow along.
As far as "gobment save me" bro...well, if the Russians are falling from on high with tanks and gas masks, will he remain in place? Doubt it. He'll want to go with you, since you're the new authority figure.

Okay, just get yourself a crate of nugget food and maybe 200 rounds of .38, and plenty of shotshells in all sorts if you get a new shotty. I wouldn't bother with feeding the others in SHTF as they're either unicorn calibers or have no advantage over the other guns. I suppose if you need to hand out guns to arm more people then the 30-30 would be a good choice for additional ammo though.
