For a collector gun that you can shoot and be proud of, the Tok all the way.
For a carry gun or if you're just going to shoot shit with it all the time and never clean it, essentially treat it like shit, the Mak.

I take pride in my firearms, im liking the idea of the tok, its a bit cheaper and the x25 is an imteresting round. Plus i wont have grips that look like a dick. But the question still stands, is j&g sales a good option? What about southern ohio guns? Ive never bought online and dont want to be disappointed
Depends on how much you want to shoot it, but I'd go for the Makarov. That's what I chose and never regretted it

If you can't wait get the mak don't listen to >>29124852, the mak has as much historical value as the tok if not more. As far as looks mak surpasses the tok as well; It screams AESTHETIC, the ammo is cheaper, the sights are nicer, the trigger is better.
You aren't special for owning a tok. But if you are willing to wait and spend a little more you can get get a cz82 which is basically taking a makarov and giving it a tune up, an even better trigger, polygonal Rifling and a double stack magazine for example. But trust me you can't go wrong ever buying a true makarov regardless of country. If you are cheap however, you won't be shooting your tokarev almost ever with the ridiculous price to feed it.

Having owned and shot both, the tokarev is way more fun. The makarovs feel better finished and built, but the tokarevs recoil is very enjoyable and the fireball is nice too. Both exhibit acceptable accuracy, but my makarov is also more accurate. Comes down to a fun gun vs a practical one I suppose.

Out of the two I've only shot a tokarev, well an m57 to be exact, and I can say that I enjoy shooting it more than just about any other pistol I've shot. Something about the weight of an all steel handgun in your hand is just great.

Tokarev ammo isn't really cheap anymore, so if you want to shoot it a lot I'd go makarov. Some people already mentioned you could easily CC a makarov, it definitely has more uses. I've got an m57, a p64, and a cz82, I haven't shot my m57 in a few years and if I had to keep one I'd take my cz82.

I personally do not do business with that establishment. They're pretty shady and really fucked some people over with the Chinese sks rifles and Finnish mosins they were selling a while back. They also delete unfavorable reviews and shipping takes forever (at least on my experience)
With these pistols, i think youll be alright with either seller. J&g have yet to do me wrong so that's what Id recommend though

I too have dealt, classic and jg. I don't have a horror story from classic, but I wouldn't order from them unless I couldn't go elsewhere. Jg has always treated me very well though.

I wouldn't say I myself have had a terrible experience from classic, my sino soviet sks was rater nice, but after seeing the broken and rusty pieces of shit they knowingly sent people (and had the audacity to call "hand select"), they entered the same level as CTD in my eyes.
I know some people have had problems with j&gsales before, but when I buy from them I at least feel like I won't get something with a crack down the middle of the frame

I don't know really like the Tok I can afford the ammo. Just the maks look nice and the p83s are made out of literal sheet metal so that's and issue. Overall I'm set on a Tok, I like that browning design look to it.
