/k/ I'm looking to buy my 1st handgun (gun im general). I've fired my friends Taurus .357 and decided it's too much. I have my eye on a Canik 55 Stingray C, but I don't have many gun friends for advice.
What are your thoughts on the Canik 55 Stingray C?

Shoots OK. Some of the machined edges seem a bit sharp. Trigger no where near as good as my sig.

Just buy the CZ75 P-01 it's based on.

I don't understand why people buy CZ clones when you can just buy a fucking CZ. It's not like they're out of production or super expensive.

Agreed. The Canik is a decent handgun for the price. It's not "CZ" nice, but it's also not CZ priced.
If your a poorfag you'll be happy. If you have the shekels, just buy the CZ.

used Czs aren't that expensive if you go online. the Tristar L-120 that I had was $299, and the current Pre B Cz that I was $359 plus shipping and FFL fee.
