Yeah this is exactly like airsoft, right down to the steel ball bearings and 500 gallon compressor.

Skip to like 3 minutes 50 in. He then soon uses what is in the pic, like a bicycle pump. It's apocolypse worthy senpai!
airgun != airsoft

I think the grammar is still evolving really, but typo I guess.

"Mike has been running his at about 850 psi of air pressure, which results in 35 ft lbs of muzzle energy. The original plans specify it should be run at 3000 psi to give 125 ft lbs of muzzle energy."
Also completely automatic.

Op here. Yeah that thing is neat. I figure no one uts normal air into those co2 things, that was why I posted the silly video. I figure you could in one of them though it would not last long. Been meaning to look it up somewhere if I haven't already and have just forgot.
That's not airsoft you dipshit

Actually I had it backwards nevermind.

I was jus' kiddin' heh....
..in case anyone's curious (close estimates based on the video and comments)
Not fantastic power output, about 25% of a .22lr round. The killer here is the painfully slow valve. The projectile exits when the ball valve is around 10% open, so most of the air is being wasted as loud noise. The choice of materials is puzzling, too - typically people go with metal over PVC because the burst pressure goes up to the thousands of PSI, but this guy is stuck under 200.

OP if you're interested in some more refined designs like this (and you can easily make them yourself) check out piston pneumatics, like this 2" coaxial gun:

and MrCrowley's excellent piston golf ball cannon:

There's also cool shit you can do with disposable co2 cartridges and paintball fittings.
Reminds me of the Tihar in Metro 2033

I have just seen something awesome. Thanks again. I may actually make something like that coaxial gun.
>mfw didn't know it'd be this easy
If ammo is going to be a problem, are compressor seals and ball bearings really any better?
