Hi /k/ What do you think of my budget AR build?
The main focus was price. I got many parts on Vet's day Clearance, sales. $540 exactly got me
-A palmetto freedom Upper 1/7 twist stainless barrel with MOE handguard
-Palmetto LPK with MOE grip
-Ares Armor reduced friction BCG
-Some old A2 stock from a private seller
-Daniel Defense rear BUIS (I prefer Irons, okay?)
-Generic charging handle
-80% lower, has been milled since this picture.
I called it an even $650 and bought some hexmags for ir.

$540 for the rifle. Buying a bunch of extra mags is where the $650 came from. What would you suggest is changed, if you don't like it?

540 isnt that bad but you should have spent the extra 20-50 on a chrome lined barrel instead of stainless
thats not to say just cause its stainless its band there are plenty of good highend target stainless barrels
a budget stainless on the other hand is mediocre shiny and chrome

It was only budget in the sense that it was on sale for Vet's Day. It seems to be great so far.

Looks like it'll be fun. I'm into my cheapo .308 for $450 so far. Need upper and lower parts kits, bcg, gas tube, and gas block.

Off-brand buffer (seriously, who the fuck is Delta Team Tactical?)
Waiting and hoping for more PSA sales. LPK has proprietary parts, the rest is DPMS or AR-15 parts.

Thanks. Hopefully turn it into a cheap long range range toy. Local range is putting in a 200 and 400 yard line. I've got a .30-06 bolt gun that'd work, but that's just boring.

I've been waning to do an AR10 build, but just havent. One day though. Good luck though, you've done fantastic price wise.
