As soon as European arrived they traded for loads of guns. They died because they had no resistance to Eurasian diseases like smallpox, cholera, diphtheria etc. And by this argument, you could give a guy with downs a gun and a pro survivalist a bow and declare bows superior because the guy with the gun died and the guy with the bow didn't.
