When Hurricane Ike came through my town (I live in coastal Texas) I had to clean out my house of everything that was damaged by the hurricane and put it in a pile in my driveway. It had to sit there for 4-6 days before an insurance agent would be able to come and take a look at it and evaluate how much I would get back. The day we were allowed back into our town there was already blacks and Mexicans hauling off flatbeds of washing machines, dryers, TV, anything they could get their hands on. They got in before most of the homeowners did and were leaving while the sun was still out, before we found out we had to get everything together.
