Can we get a fudd thread going? There's just something about hand-carved rifles and shotguns that makes my pants tight.
What about pic related?

Costs a fortune.

...
I really want one.
What calibers does it come in and can I get one with an ebony fore end tip?
Ausfag unable to sleep here.
I'm currently seriously considering this thing right here. But I'm split between getting it in 25-06, .270WIN or 6.5x55 Swede.
I've heard good arguments for each of these but I'm still unsure, this will put a decent sized hole in my wallet so I want to get it right.

It's a one of a kind rifle. Only This one was made in 300 WM.

What are you going to primarily hunt?

Goddammit.
There goes my boner.

The dream is to do tahr or chamois in NZ. But I want it to still be useful when I get back to West Aus for camels, donkeys, feral horses, goats and pigs.

Hunting rifle doesn't immediately mean fudd. Fudd is a generic hunting rifle chambered in a caliber like .243 Winchester which is only ever shot one time at the range to make sure it is still zeroed and one more time to shoot a deer.

.270 unless you're a masochist/reloader
will have a flatter trajectory and similar takedown capabilities.

I'm actually looking into a stainless BLR in .308. Are they worth it?
>tfw no goose gun
>>28357630
Accurate and beautiful but expensive. Do you have a reason for preferring a lever gun over a bolt action?
If you need an accurate .308 for offhand shooting with fast follow up shots, the BLR will fit the bill.
>>28357879
Preference, plus one's up for auction at an estate sale near me.
>>28357630
If you can get it for a deal definitely. I got my .300 Win Mag BLR for $528 new in box when a local retailer was clearing out some old stock. The stainless and takedown models cost a bit more usually but they're really nice.

6.5/264 caliber has the best ballistics available.
>>28358525
It's 6.5-284.
>>28358713
I'm not referring to a particular cartridge. I am referring to the diameter of the bullet. 6.5 mm = .264.
>>28358343
Shit, those go for $800 new
Fudd for life
Thinking of getting a rifle in 6.5x55, should I go for the the Tikka T3, or CZ 550?
