I inherited a sported SVT that Grandpa left in his closet for decades after a shit cleaning. While I've got the rest done, I don't know how to fix the bolt carrier. Please help.

I would say if you want to do the best possible thing for it, ship it off to someone and get it reblued/coated in some way. You could also just soak it in oil and then use a toothbrush like >>28346058 is saying, or use very fine steel wool.
