I am house sitting a place for the holidays and there was a break in on Christmas eve while I was out, now scared the fuckers come back I stay in every night hoping one breaks in again.
Any good ideas on Traps I can set up around the house?

Fairly certain it's illegal to trap your home.
Get a powerful spring, like one used in car suspension. Bolt it to your wall and secure a knife to the end. Pull it back so it springs forward when you release it, and then hook it up to a catch so it is released when a door is opened.

Alarms are still safe. Surplus air raid sirens can be tripped by a variety of ways and are quite violent indoors. Air horns (semitruck/train) can be mounted close to exits. Strobe lights and flash bulbs too.
